Maybe I could offer these for sale to IUOMA members. What do you think? BF

Got your mail today. . . I loved the bunny hand grenade. I made your rubber stamps today. I'll get to the post office later this week. BF
Thanks again for the wonderful mail.

Your drawing looks like my Asian girlfriend.  BF

  • Karen Champlin

Hi Nadine!  Thanks for your super mail.  Just wonderful!

  • vizma bruns

Nadine! I'm deliriously happy to hear that! I read your comment and none of it made sense, so I had to go and look at the photocopy of your boekie, and now I understand! (the boekie really made no sense anyway!!) So glad you made sense of some of the references! Wow, how did I know that there's a lot of roof-top farting going on in Hollywood? Pure fluke!

All of those stamps came from the US! Mainly from the web. Sometimes I cut them up to make them more fun- like the farter was a referee in an ice hockey group of 3. I cut him out of the group and added some smiling clouds (from a cute kiddies' weather stamp set) near his bum and Voila, a much more useful stamp!!

Hi Nadine! And thank's for the mail art, it came today. I like the picture of the"farmers" so much and I wish to work on some art having that picture as an inspiration, if the outcome is good I'll send You the result (the actual picture will be intact as it is, a great found object). The stickers and that wonderful "page reminder" was from your son? Great great stuff and say thank's to him from me.

    Until later,

    Niklas

You're welcome...I can't remember a fab Christmas Card so I'd better not take credit for it. What did it look like?

  • The Blessed Father

You left me a message about KDJ's book??????????????????  BF

  • Eraser Heed

I love faces.. pictures of people, that subject never ends. It's always the eyes, nose, and mouth that I return to when I don't know what to draw. Glad I found Your sons fb-page too. I think I've seen his art before. You got great artistic blood in Your family!

    Until later...

  • David Stafford

If the story was about a boy scout vs the republicans....that was me...

  • David Stafford

You're welcome...I have lots of toys to make my cards...

  • The Blessed Father

    That's ok. . . I thought maybe I was missing something.  BF

  • Andrea Jay

Hiya.  This is the first time that this little "box" appeared for me.  I still HATE COMPUTERS!!!  I don't even know how to put a cool little picture next to my name.

Give me snail mail any day (in fact, I mailed a letter to you this afternoon) in response to your dee-lightful letter.  I want more snail mail!  Is there anyone in the listening audience who wants to do silly "cooperative mail art books"???

  • The Blessed Father

Thanks for the mail. I enjoyed your drawings. . . the cat looks like the one that lives next door.   BF

  • Eraser Heed

Any kind...from sleeping faces to amazed, but maybe it's the inflation of happy faces that I'll reject them for now (except for happy faces mixed up with other expressions). And a happy face... :)

  • The Blessed Father

Yes the Toco's de PERRO IS ME

  • Eraser Heed

Many many thank's for the great mail art I just received, I'll show it to the world later on...

See you in the mail box and elsewhere!

    Hi Nadine,

I was told by a little bird in Montana that you and I have similar style. I'm new to the community and searching for kindred spirits. So, I thought I'd say hello.

    All best!

  • Cassandra Gallagher

    Nadine,

thank you!! I will be sending something along your way too.

Oh boy, something from Hollywood! My best friend is in LA, hope to get out to that part of the country someday soon.

    all best

  • Karin Greenwood

Dear Nadine, so happy to get more ART MAIL from you !!!!! I have given up Art Mail !!! but would dearly like to continue getting art mail from you. I love your work and I hope you will still send me your wonderful ART !!!! I hope you are keeping well !!!

LOVE your latest mail. I am working full time half day now.

The crime in our area has escalated, to murder, rape and lots of burglaries and beatings. We live in an upmarket area, but the black people are just going to town on white people.

We all have alarm systems, razor wire around our properties, electric gates, but that is life, my children have left South Africa and live in the UK. I miss them terribly, but am so happy they are safer over there.

I hope you, and your family are all well !!

Love getting your Art Mail !!!!!!!

    Take care.

    Karin,

    xxxxx

    Hi Nadine,

Thanks for the friends invite! North Hollywood? We're practically neighbors.

Regarding the luddite comment, seriously, I have no fear of [digital] technology, just new  tools to help us along our merry way. It's more of an ode to Ned Ludd than anything else [you can read the amble at the bottom of my blog]. Onward.

Great mail and a puppet with real feelings into it. Many thank's Nadine and something is coming Your way..

Happy birthday greetings from Greece, Nadine! OPA!

  • Svenja Wahl

    Happy belated birthday wishes, Nadine!!!

  • Keith S. Chambers

Nadine! Thank you for the great postcard. I really like the bicycle. I get a little obsessed with techniques and am wondering about the texture of the bike, is that done with a special ink? You don't have to tell me, just keep it your little secret and let me try to wrap my mind around it until I pop. Jester Bummer looks so sad, I hope he cheers up; those tears look fatal. Cheers neighbor, from Anaheim to No. Hollywood. Oh, and a very belated Happy Birthday!

  • Amy Irwen

oh Nadine...how sad....it was a mini art quilt entitled "nest"....

    hope someone is enjoying it!!!

  • Nancy Bell Scott

Nadine!!! You've outdone yourself, girl! Oscar arrived and takes the cake. You're a genius and I love it. Every page. How did you know I chose to study him in a junior year tutorial? ESP. KS.  Thank you a hundred times.

  • Eraser Heed

Many many thank's this was great and suited me fine!

  • Karin Greenwood

Nadine won't you send me your email address !!!

  • Karin Greenwood

Hi Nadine, Thanks for the reply and also your email address. I think your book is stunning. When you finish your book for your children you should just take it to a publisher and just see what happens. You have got nothing to loose. Congratulations on your little grandchild's birth. Hope all goes smoothly. My son and his fiance had a little girl McKenzie last Sept. We will see her for the first time on the 24th of Oct. I can't wait. We send you something soon. Take care with love Karin xx

  • Keith S. Chambers

Hallo Nadine . . . Received your monster child card; your faces always make me smile, even a monster child makes me smile [I have one of those, a monster child, or perhaps he's a son-of-a-monster child :o . . . ] thank you . . . ksc

  • Keith S. Chambers

Hi Nadine, I received your drawing, Art Block. Fantastic. I too have those days, staring at the blank page, trying to imagine the image arising from the ether. I love your irony of making something out of being blocked from the initiate.

  • Amy Irwen

    Happy New Year Nadine !
Did you send me some "life changing" ATC's?
  • Amy Irwen

Hi Nadine, received "2 Cats Waiting for 2014"...cute scruffy's...
Glad you are enjoying the TV....moving is yuk no matter the age....
    Take care *!*
  • Amy Irwen

Hi Nadine..thank you for the postcard and the great Ex Postale Facto stamp! So glad you made it to S.F. I wish I had been there. Glad you saw my piece...take care and you will be seeing me in the mail soon *!*
  • Amy Irwen

    Thank you Nadine *!*

  • Keith S. Chambers

I aspire only for a purpose. . . . those are some mighty words there Nadine. Received your card today. The drawing is simply beautiful. fantastic. sublime. Thank you very much.

  • Amy Irwen

Nadine, the recent mail art is SUPER....I am so jealous that you are into Spring...if I planted any bulbs they would be under 2 feet of snow or more...we just had about another inch or two last night....the dogs and I are so ready for Spring...we had about a week of 40 degree weather and thought we were in heaven....no jacket and the door open for the excited pooches!
Take care and enjoy your warm days and bright sun for me! Hugs <3
  • Keith S. Chambers

No Dance Partner? I hope that is not true. Received your postcard last week [belated reply]. Love the drawing, but am hoping the message is just a thought off the top of your head and not a general outlook on things. Smile.

Hope to see you swinging your stuff in the mail . . . k.

ps. As I am writing this, I see you have a new address . . . does this mean I just sent my last postcard to the wrong [NoHo] address??? When did you move to Burbank? And yes, the earthquakes were quite sizable. The epicenter was actually relatively near to me [about 17 to 19 miles]. It rolled along for a while over here.

  • David Stafford

Thanks for the pet boekie...That was a treasure trove you uncovered in Iowa. The history of the world as contained in a single snap. Great job. You really can't go wrong with "James Franco" as a punchline.

  • An. U.

    Hi, Nadine!

    I found a place for your son's sticker! ;) :))

  • Jim SantAmour

good day! BARFA shopping has commenced.  Unfortunately, this lovely piece slipped my grasp a couple years ago...but I've vowed to find a gift with compatible taste!  Keep your eyes open in the upcoming week!

  • Amy Irwen

Thank you Nadine for the wonderful and funny Christmas card...Merry Christmas to you and yours. I loved the bookmark you enclosed; I am a big book reader so this was perfect!
