Shadows on the Bridge found its way to my mailbox earlier this week, and I am totally torn.  On one hand, owning a piece of this larger work unites me with all of the other recipients of the painting.  However, it also represents the destruction of a larger work, at once captured by the photograph included and then torn asunder and sent around the world.  The small 4x4inch square holds me in its thrall, both intrigued and saddened at the same time.  Thank you, Cheryl.

Hello cheryl, I am owing a book to you! (I have been very busy!)

I am grateful for all your art and the inspiration that you share! The collaborative books were the most surprising of the exhibition that we have realized in the Museum and it is something that I would like to continue doing.

In the next week I will do something for send to you!

    Hi Cheryl,

I received your ZALUP piece today, it's absolutely wonderful. Thanks so much. Most inspiring.

  • De Villo Sloan

Your Trashbook & pro-anti-Minxus ("creamed tarts"?) arrived safely - both destined to be classics, I'm sure. You outdid yourself. Many thanks, more later.

"Mink of the Tangerine Oncoming" is on it's way to you.

  • Alicia Starr

good news Cheryl. Just thinking that maybe the drop and dash sans a custom form maybe isn't a good idea.  was preparing to begin again.

    thanks for getting back.

  • Mail Art Martha

Cheryl, thank you for the most fantastic book, it is simply superb. The cover printed in computer paper imitating canvas is a stroke of genius. I was given some as a sample ages ago and it is still unused, couldn't think what it was good for; so now I know what to do with it. Have you heard of Gail Whitter's book show? If you haven't send her one of your books already please do, she will appreciate it so much.

  • Susanna Lakner

Dear Cheryl, many thanks for the inspiring new pages to "22"!!!!

  • Torma Cauli

Dear Cheryl! Not sure I can answer your request, I will be out in July and August are very busy. Thank you. Best wishes, Cauli

  • De Villo Sloan

The burning question is: What is a mink-coated missile? Might you stop by the mink ranch and clear this up?

  • De Villo Sloan

Thanks for the guest appearance at the Rodent Rodeo. You see SSSAO has wrought? It's called The Law of Unintended Consequences. But you did well, IMHO.

  • De Villo Sloan

Always glad to know it arrived in your neck of the woods. I think I mentioned your "last trashbook" arrived - thanks. You haven't heard the end of it.

The tangerine is the wrong size. I think. But I said all M-L for your library.

    Hi Cheryl,

Glad to see it did arrive. You never know with the beloved SA Post Office. Hell, making books is hard work, it seems to take forever.  I think my attention span is more suited to the humble post card.

    Regards

    Cuan

    Hello Cheryl!

My drums are going good. I've been playing a lot lately. And I never did that Zalop performance on drums... One day, who knows...

Anyway, you've been here in Portugal? In what city?

Next time come visit me. HAHAH!

    Cheers!

    Eduardo.

  • David Stafford

Hmmm, seems like there may be a lot of candidates for the OOUP...I  know of many who have picked up odd jobs doing bit parts in mail art. Glad to see it's finally getting organized.

  • Nadine Wendell-Mojica

Terrific! It's just a joke really but sent with much appreciation for all your encouragement. I guess I love humor almost as much as drawing and visual art.

  • Mail Art Martha

Hello Cheryl; the pages for the book are ready to be posted by husband. I cannot go out much because of hay fever, terrible this year. Thank goodness I got mail art and a computer! I am looking so much to the book (and autumn)

  • Patricio - The Celestial Scribe

Earthling: This morning a hummingbird on celestial mail service left City of Peace, the capital city of Republik van Patland, a tiny point in the Universe where this scribe comes from.  The Postbird faced Planet Earth in a celestial mission. The objective is to deliver a heaven certified mail artwork kindly produced just for you by Cælestis Scriba, today´s  most distinguished celestial mail art master of Patland.

Keep the skies of your vicinity under close observation. Celestial messengers – all of them – tend to show up when nobody expects them. The opportunity is propitious for you to meet, first time ever, a Postbird on heavenly service if you wish to. Have luck! Keep me posted.  Scribe
