Hi Jim -- and my mystery was solved today. The errant card (that I thought was from you) turned up and was from Douglas Galloway. Sorry for the confusion. (I blame my studio). --Sally
Hi Jim, Thanks. I grew up In Pietermaritzburg, was there for 35 years and then moved down to Kloof. About 45 kms away towards Durban ( on the Indian Ocean). Take care Karin.
Jim, your two little cards arrived today--little in the hands, big in the world. They're great, I've been admiring your work and thank you so much - I will send you MA soon.
Jim! Thanks for the photo-post card! Great Images you captured!(also like the stamp!) As we speak, my dad & stepmom are in St. Peter at the Dali museum ,i'm really Jealous! Happy Belated Birthday and may your year be filled with nothing but the best!
I got your mail art last week, Jim. I tried to put up more than one view of it but this window doesn't like multiple images per comment. :( .. Anyway, it is a really nice piece and I'll get something in the mail soon. Yes. Oliver!
Thank you for the postcard - it arrived yesterday and was a lovely surprise! I love how you've combined photography and collage to create a piece of MA with a memory. You've inspired me to use some of my own photography in my work, especially the more abstract stuff.
Thanks again, and I will get something in the post to you soon.
Hi Jim --- indeed, those are photos from some of my walks in Oakland. This set is one of my Mail Art Puzzles, and you can arrange the six pieces in any order that you like. I also sometimes use them as mini-postcards. Enjoy!
Thanks for the postcard featuring your photo of Battery Park in New York City! I visited Battery Park a long time ago, and really ought to go back again sometime.
I really enjoy your work --- the design, colors, photographs, everything!
I've put one of my cards in the mail to you. Lately, I've been working on a series called "Your Own World" that features my prints from old maps that are now in the public domain and "inchie" versions of my photos. Enjoy!
I'm glad that you liked my piece! The pictures that I used for the "Your Own World" series come from a variety of places, including New York (City and State), Seattle, Reno, San Diego, and San Francisco, as well as the Oakland area. Each work in the series used different photos, so no two are alike.
I also tried to use photos that could be from just anywhere, with less of a reliance on famous landmarks. Ideally, I'd have photos from all over the world, and maybe that will happen eventually.
i recieved your beautiful "Let it snow" card today. i just love it. thank you so much. the Syracuse winter photo and polar bear stamp are just the right match. Awesome.

Thank you for the beautiful photocollage-card. It reminds me of a movie I saw, long time ago. State and Main with Philip Seymour Hoffman.
