    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that you and all the Worms have a party, and it's a good one.

If your birthday had been next Tuesday, you could have had a joint party (or hust a joint) with Bob Dylan who is 70 on that day.

    Regards, Croque Monsieur

Oooh sounds like y'all had loads of fun!  I got to visit NASA in Houston this weekend, it's no New York, but it was fun.  I'm watching NASA TV and sending good thoughts to the Endeavor crew as they return to Earth.
  • cheryl penn

David - you're not keen to do an asemics book???
  • cheryl penn

:-))) - ok - do do owe me mail???
  • cheryl penn

Your asemia comment - I'm still laughing :-))) All the research you're doing - wow!!! :-) - I'm expecting a masterpiece... Looking forward in any event - I KNOW that what you send will be great X
  • cheryl penn

Certainly not!!! I WILL NOT!!! :-)))
  • cheryl penn

David Stafford - another goodie :-)!!! Looking forward X

I humbly accept this award and thank all fellow-mail artists for their support and vision for spreading sandpo throughout the world. "True grit for abrasive poetry!..." Too funny, David! You are a master at this, and I shall treasure this award! Tere is a blog for it ;-) Many thanks xxx

(Also, love the sandpo figure on the flip side!)
  • Jen Staggs

    I. Just. Fell. Over. Laughing.  That Nancy Drew card is one of the greatest things I have ever gotten.  Thank you!  I absolutely adore it and I want to make it into a tshirt.
  • DKeys

David, you MADE my day yesterday when i received the Mail Art Romance posters and bonus map! Thank you so much. I don't know if the garlic was to keep the art dry or to ward off evil, but I appreciate your thinking of me. I have already put the poster up in a frame on our wall!!
  • cheryl penn

Dear David Stafford, The Invisible Prince has still not arrived :-( - that may be because he is wearing the emperors new clothes?
  • are you claiming anonymity, then?

i'd be happy to add your information!

  • done!

    you have been deanonymized.

  • as long as the illustrations stay well pixelated, i'll be happy to offer my promotion services. ;-D
  • cheryl penn

Hey David - SCRAP the story - it was DEFINITELY NOT meant to be hard work!! A see-through orange disk - WOW - sorry to hear about the fires - terrible for all the animals - stay safe :-) X
  • cheryl penn

David - your comic - so funny!!! o - and a bit serious ;-) - hope the fires have calmed down. Been thinking about it - awful :-( X
  • cheryl penn

David - your words are always SO LOADED :-))) - two minds about asemic writing - the awake and the unconscious? An asemic punch line - hhhmmm!!! Do you know they are animating asemics now? - I have a link if you are interested. I am looking forward to the fairy tale - HOW can I not be??? BUT - it was intended for driving pleasure not teeth pulling without anesthetic :-( - one though - I am CERTAIN it will be worth it!!! How can it not be - its from you :-) X!!

  • Ptrzia (TICTAC)

thank you  very much for the unexpurgated version. Ms Tac read it avidly and laughed with great amusement as she did with the sabotated version. At the moment Ms.Tac is busy working on improving the kerb appeal of her modest Postfach after all the press coverage and the media still camping outside.
  • Jen Staggs

Beware~ sending you off-color mail art.  NSFW by some standards.  I, however, have no standards.
  • Jen Staggs

Not Safe for Work.  And Furry Wookies is redundant. Silly.
  • is it a submission?

i always take "e-mail art" submissions along with regular mail art ones for the blogs,

send to moomoosuperhero@gmail.com if you ever want something digital like thi submitted!

  • Bruno Cassaglia

Thanks ...grazie del commento ... un caro saluto . bruno
  • cheryl penn

I LOVE the Bewitched Sock. Thank you :-) X
  • pass them on if you want to someone else interested in short shorts.

your realtors made it safe and sound.

    lots of sound.

    moans.

  • used your first piece you sent me as the finishing touch to my recent collage:

  • Bruno Cassaglia

Ciao David . Thanks ..grazie  per la visione . un caro saluto . bruno
  • i use the free fonts available for linux through ubuntu's synaptic package manager.

other than that i'm pretty clueless about fonts. ;-D

i've installed some truetypes in the past from the net, but that was aeons ago!

  • DKeys

Yeah!! So glad it arrived. I really didn't know if they would send it as is or if it would get mangled in the process. Wanted to send you some 'real' art too so you didn't think I was just sending you my garbage:) Glad you're busy and camping sounds fun. Thanks for letting me know you got them:) All the best

    Diane

  • Jen Staggs

OOOH!  I LOVE the comic you sent me!  I think we are of similar political minds, which is nice.  I'm not surrounded by many open-minds here in Texas.  Thank you for sending me more things to inspire my own work- nobody does it like you!
  • Marcia Cirillo (Fifi LePew)

David, I'm overloaded at work now, so everything I do is squeezed in between something else. I can never find what I want. I always loved Dracula and Frankenstein, zombies not so much, but they're definitely an interesting phenomena in world culture right now. I've been watching a few zombie flicks to see what's what. "Shaun of the Dead" & "Zombieland" have some sick humor and aren't too grossly bloody. well sorta. I just worked on one of SH's add and pass books on zombies - would you want to work on it? I just put my own personal take in it - what "zombies" mean to me.
  • Marie Wintzer

David! I got your card! How wonderful, your ink drawing, so subtle, beautiful. And you're a poet...
  • i don't enjoy politics.

    i never have.

    i came here for art,

and art is what i've done here since i came.

and if there are politics involved in what i do,

it is because mr. villo encouraged me into them.

my beef with him goes to the fact that i have given him nothing but good will.

i've sent numerous mailings to him, none of which were reciprocated,

but i didn't mind that i send a lot of mail that doesn't get reciprocated.

    people are busy.

    but he's been taking a lot of jabs at me under his alias;

and encouraging me under his normal account.

i find it very rude considering the goodwill i've put into both this site and to him.

if you want to take a side against me because he's your pal,

that is your right. all i ask is respect in return for respect.

and he has broken that to severe degrees.

    sincerely,

    mark alan rossmiller

That took only two days through the postal system -- wow -- and thanks for letting me know.  The texture is a sort of coarse pumice-like Golden gel that I just couldn't, well, bond with.  I tried to rip it off the canvas, but as you can see, the canvas came right off with it.  All in all an interesting experiment.
  • Nancy Bell Scott

David, just want you to know I'm working on a piece destined for you and it's not exotic debris.
  • Nancy Bell Scott

Of course, you're right, David. Immediately after writing that, I went back to my studio, looked at the piece being worked on, and said out loud, "Well what do you think THIS is?"  Much falls under that category; it's why we do it!

Out shopping for an 8-track player.  I'll be officially saved  once I find one.  Hmm.... saving looking grim....
  • Nancy Bell Scott

David, your mail art arrived and has me speechless, it's so rich and so big and so extremely interesting. Thank you truly. I have read it all once and, after another 9 readings, will blog it. A few clarifications may be needed so I don't make a fool of myself (any more than usual). Will be in touch if so. TY ~
  • Nancy Bell Scott

Well David, it's very noticeable, but I'm too polite to say so.
