Hey Test, just wondering if you received my heebee jeebee mailart yet...
  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

    Hi Test!
I just came from HeeBee JeeBee Island and saw that my "hot stuff" from Eyjafjallajokull! has arrived. :-) Thank you for the great comments, and the color looks so much "alive " on a computer screen! Wow!
What is this I read about a deadline for June 1st?
    A gallery exhibit in June?
Do you have a specific theme , size, etc?
I seem to have missed your call...(I am a blonde, ya know)
  • Bifidus Jones

I only asked cuz it was a weird shape plus not all owls wanna take the straight route to Heebee Jeebee land (they opppose that phrase "as the crow flies"). Hope you're feeling better.
  • Rachel Fasig

Hi Test: I like your idea on a collabaration. I am finishing up some edits to my chapter on the digital novel and then will get started.
Is mixed media (not flat) OK?
    Hope you're feeling better! Rachel
  • Rachel Fasig

Will look forward to your next mail art call! Rachel
  • Rachel Fasig

The start of your day sounds wonderful and made me smile too! :-)
Reminded me of a day when I got on a pony named "Magic" (beautiful mane, chubby belly, gentle eyes, bouncy trot) for a trail ride in the woods with soft rays of sunlight through the trees and I thought to myself with a big smile: "Oh, this is magical!". Yes, indeed!!
Just posted the revisions to my digital novel chapter, so I have time for the collabaration now. See you in the mail! - Rachel
  • Rachel Fasig

My half of our first ;-) collaboration is on its way to you. Just realized I forgot to include the required warning: MAY BE HABIT FORMING! :-D
  • Human Artist Vending Machine LTD

interesting..I hope some one stole it..and not trash it..I will work on a comic theme again..after I am done with what I am doing..

    hope all is well

"Dr. Test", your reconstructive work on our art box patient was quite impressive. Good as new! The side dents are barely visible and I think this actually adds some "personality" and interest to the piece. Thanks for your tender loving care. To put your mind at ease, the box was empty. I think somewhere on the box I had actually written (painted) "empty" but really can't swear to that. The box was stuffed with tissue paper only. I'm looking forward to my next dimensional work that will go your way. Thanks for the terrific compliments...my ego is pleasantly inflated! I, too, am an avid fan of all you produce and grateful to count you as a friend. Laughter and good health!
  • Richard F. Yates

Thanks for the post!!! Loved the modifications to the artwork, too!
  • Rachel Fasig

Hello, Just checking if my mail art(s} arrived. The muse woke me at 3:something a.m. and insisted that I do the second half card, which I did like better.
Well, I've been working in the garden all day and I am wobbly from so much sunshine and moving perennial that have the size and root system of small trees!

I soaked off the soil left on my arms and legs. I'me ready for bed now so I can do it all over tomorrow. First hummingbird and dragonfly today - very cool! Hope you're well. Rachel
  • Zois

Your "View All " page is wowyzippy. Seen as a group is quite a treat. Do you have all of these and more on a wall together?
Your Chapter 4 , too! You knitted yours nicely into the three preceding. Just like in the Novel novel your writing flowed the story forward.
  • Rachel Fasig

Really like what you did to our postcard - very cool for such humble beginnings! ;-D You inspire me to learn digital. No worries on the other card. Thanks for letting me play art with you! Rachel
  • Kris Naylor

    Hi Test,
Jennie's super book is what ultimately hooked me on mail art. Sharon (Kennick - "the Faux Real Republic") and I read it while driving back from Arkansas a few months ago. We stopped at a convenience store in New Mexico and bought a lot of candy we had never tried before - one of the book's suggested mail art exercises. So, I sent Jennie a candy wrapper postcard and got a chocolate bar in return. Awesome. I'm now practically camped out by the mailbox. See ya in the mail!
  • Kris Naylor

Oh boy! Can't wait! It seems our mail will cross paths as I just sent you something today!
    Kris
  • Kris Naylor

Waaaa hoooo! The healthy dose arrived yesterday. Love the stamps, the sticker, the envelope, everything! (Sharon loved the sticker too) I keep pulling it all back out of the envelope to look at it. The "add and pass" is SUCH a cool idea. I must do that soon. Thanks a ton!
  • Umberto basso

    thanks for adding me
  • Rachel Fasig

Hey there: I for one hope that Heebee Jeebee Island stays open for a long time to come! I enjoy your descriptions as much as the artwork I see there; great place for some artistic R&R.
Very cool about the HBJB Island artiststamps!! I hope I see some soon. You do inspire me. Take care, Rachel
P.S. - got the collabarative postcard (am not getting to the PO too often with my schedule) Love your side! Will post it in the next day or two and on my own NEW blog.

I love the "A Fluxus Affair" piece--got it on Saturday! Will scan soon and post. It was a busy weekend and right in the middle of it--came down with a nasty cold. Now it's turning into a sore throat. But, the whole shoe thing was pretty stressful. Had fun with the mail artists. Hope you look at the pics on facebook. I tagged some of your art in the pictures. Take care dear! I'm thinking about you!
  • Jennifer Kosharek

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 of Great Britain and Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth etc herebye informs Test Tower that the Royal Stamp Artist, Valentine Mark Herman, will be sending Mr Tower a special Queen Elizabeth 11 'Machin' -themed envelope later this week. Any reply to this should be sent to Mr Herman's Permanent Installation and Art Studio at 1 Rue de la Vieille Fontaine, F-11130 Sigean, France, and not to Buckingham Palace London, as Her Royal Majesty will be playing pool and the Wurlitzer at her local pub and has left strict instructions that she is not to be disturbed.

Hey T.T.! I'm cool with a get together, but weekends probably work best for me. (I work in Vancouver Mon thru Fri.) This weekend is bombed already, but if you want to plan a visit for the Sunday the 17th (of Oct.) that would probably work for me!

Hi Test - thanks for adding my mail. I would love to do another collaborative book - I have an idea floating around, and in fact everything is lined up for starting it on Monday (after the bookbinding class). It involves Alexander the Great - he has just finished conquering the world (remember the famous line - Alexander wept, there were no more worlds to conquer) so he decides to visit your/my neighborhood and conquer that as well. You keen? I have not posted it as a blog yet, I have to finish the first section which I will send to everyone to work out how the book will work - but you keen? I hope so, and I am looking forward to your mail, and thanks for joining the cattery|! x
  • Lorraine Kwan

First one is in the mail, you can start counting down the days!
  • Lorraine Kwan

Good timing Mr T! Its not here and I like it already. I have a 2nd one for you but I have to work on the wording a bit. I must say I am rather partial to you new project call.......
  • cheryl penn

How about my The World is a Town Project?? See my blog - I am dismembering a book based on a 9th century codex called the Novgorod Codex and sending it out as mail art?? I put some on my blog - http://cherylpenn.com/wpb/
All the mail art I receive is going to make Volume Two. I must say, it was very liberating!! Alexander the Great is on - tomorrow when the sun is shining (its VERY nightish here) I will take photos for people to see wots what and we can get Alexander to conquer 2010... Great cats by the way.
  • Carmelleta NP

WOW what a trip. I've only been in the group for two days and I am so inspired already. I've finally found "MY PEOPLE". Just sent some mail out today. PEACE.
