Thank you for the greeting. Seems that the H1N1 is everywhere. Even Alaska. I have gotten no art done today or yesterday. My daughter is sick and I have been in town all day tending to her. Funny, they grow up, move out of the house,get sick and revert. I am lucky she doesn't want to move back in. I just had to show motherly support and bring honey for the tea. Love the 4th Dimension.

hola mi amigo yuppers the wind chill factor always pushes the temp way up there lol so I just learned to stay out of the wind as much as possible and well when it is this cold u cant talk outside lol cause the words freeze right there in the air ha ha and u end up waiting till spring to hear what some one is saying lmao I`m lying of course lol but keep smiling old friend cause a smile can keep u warm...

Spent the morning in the studio just having fun getting back to my mail art. New studio space. I expect I'll have something in the mail to you my the middle of next week. :)Bea

'Been a while, Test Tower, but I got a chance to stop by HeeBee JeeBee Island just now. Nice stuff! And look what Mother Nature (rain, snow or ice...or tears) has done to my print-out envelopes! The address will hold up because it is permanent marker or ballpoint...BUT, OMG! I just print-out the envelope image from a hp printer...duh, the inks are water soluable. AACK! Oh, well...just a "creative moment" by nature. ;-)

And here is another "Island" , it is 125 years old.
Check out "Adopt a Dot" at the Art Institute of Chicago,
there must be info on the internet somewhere. I adopted three
dots and am waiting to see which ones they are!

Also, do you make each card you send out every time or do you scan, print, and send them out to all your friends? It takes me a while to make mine....LOL! Where can I go to get some tips on this? Yep, the ol'gal is officially retired from teaching at the university.
And now I can enjoy the luxury of art "work"! YEAH!
Also, pulled down three (3) boxes of ol' US stamps and
am wondering what to do with them. Spending my spare time
soaking and sorting and observing some really neat "mail" art!

You take good care of those 1962 World's Fair glasses! Wow, they are rare items. I may want to have some ice tea out of one of them :-)
A dream of mine is to visit Seattle one day, always wanted to go up the Space Needle ( you know from my cards to HeeBee JeeBee Island that we have a "Needle" Tower in Thess, too...but no comparison)
Plans are in the making for a visit to the "mother land", Chicago, in the Fall...but, my goodnes, Washington State is soooooo far away for me! Never say never, 'might just come by for a visit.

Probably not but I will ask. Her Aunt Freida made hats in the 50s and taught her how. Auntie's collection was loads of fun and we would fall over laughing in her Mame Eisenhowers - Lucy and Ethel dressing up.

Glad you were able to get to Cornelius, Test. It was a pity that Pat left and you were not able to meet her, but I think they had to get back to Corvallis and didn't want to be on the highway in the afternoon. So close and yet so far!
At least you were able to met with the Postmast, Kerry, right? And it must have been a special mail art exhibit!
