I made an artistamp sheet, for the first time ever! There aren't any holes in it but I might poke some in. I've got some really hi-tech kit here in my sewing box. There isn't a postage rate or a country on it. I thought I'd scribble those on when I use them, so I can change my mind. It's printed on cheap copy paper on my unreliable little printer. No adobes were involved but the original monotype is twice the size of my head. This was so much fun. So much fun!!!!
Thank you, William M, that's very kind. I sent you something a few days ago but it is not like these! But I will save some of these especially for you.
ah, cool! but last i heard mail from and to the uk from taiwan has been suspended. it just went into effect today. hopefully what you sent has managed to make it out before this went into effect. i'll send something to you once i am able to mail to the uk again.
Thanks William M for letting me know. No updates here from Royal Mail since 23 Dec! It's possible mine got out before these suspensions. Fingers crossed and here's hope for a better future.
yes, fingers crossed. i read today that the number of flights from the uk have been halved. maybe mail will still be able to arrive but outgoing mail will be suspended(i can receive mail from canada and australia but i cannot mail to those countries).
Hello, please excuse me for my very poor English. But I remain open to all discussions thanks to the translator. I am very intrigued by your fake stamps. So I'm going to go for it, do you have any tips or advice to give me, can we put any image?
Merci d'avoir manifesté votre intérêt pour les artistamps. Je vous enverrai des œuvres d'art par courrier avec des timbres d'artiste par la poste plus tard dans la journée (12 avril). - JL
Quick question to the masses: by what means do you (if you do; I haven't yet, but would like to play...) perforate your artistamps? Where does one go to get a perforating machine and how much do they typically cost? Has anyone played with creating 'homemade' perforating machines (such as rows of pins mounted into a block of wood or the like) and how has that worked out for you? Does anyone use the one-pinhole-at-a-time method, or is that as onerous and dissatisfying as it sounds? Other workarounds or adapted tools folks have tried? Thanks for your answers in advance!
HilgArt you can buy pre-perforated stamp sheets from 100 proof press, the portland stamp company among other places. I don't know how much perforators cost. You might keep your eyes on any auctions involving postal equipment I suppose. There are videos up on youtube of how to perforate stamps with a sewing machine, but I've never tried it out(mainly because I don't have a sewing machine).

Is an artistamp still an artistamp if it is only through the design phase and never makes it to paper?
