translation: Very sad news: Sergei died Sigey, zaumnik, transfurist, great researcher Russian avant-garde

For those who understand, who we lost. Tonight in Kiel (Germany) died poet and researcher Sergey Sigey Russian avant-garde (Yablonskii Sigov), born in 1947 in Murmansk. All we know of his activities - aimless and visual poetry, numerous small-circulation samizdat books and brochures, facing west, mail art classes, the famous magazine "Transponans" to do with his wife, poet Rea Nikonova (Anna Tarshis, 1942-2014) pioneering research in the field of Russian zaum, futurism, postfuturizma - conducted mainly in Eyske, where in the late 90s, he emigrated with his wife to Germany. That scant information about it on Wikipedia.

In "Gilee" we have released two books prepared by Shigeo "Kruchёnyhiadu" Theophanes Buki (NI Khardzhiev) (1993) and a book of his own visual poetry "Sobukvy" (1996).

I have a few copies left of K, the chapbook of Zaumist poetry I did with Serge and Rea almost 10 years ago - Available for a special price of $10 postpaid - contact me at  Visual Mom posted a page spread from it below.  It's one of my favorite collaborations that I did with them.

What a blow! To lose two such important artists in such a short span of time. Both were incredibly fertile non conforming avant artists - and Rea was almost the same age as I am. Our lives on earth are short so continue to make the best art you can.

I'm sorry that I didn't know Serge. He was so accomplished and creative. What a loss for his family, friends, and community.
