Jan,

My better half bought me a Gelli Plate for Christmas last year, but I haven't ever used it. I do make traditional monotypes, intaglios, dry points, and mixed media transfer prints. I do need to try out the Gelli plate, but I spend most of studio time these days making things more like these:

Dan there's something coming your way in the mail that I did on my Gelli-plate, too. Hope to see some of your printmaking, though maybe you've moved on from those techniques?

How did this group appear without my noticing it? Glad to see a printmaker's group here at IUOMA-Ning.

Thanks for your comment, Humberto. I am using acrylic paints on the Gelatin plate. They dry quickly so pulling the paper off produces the interesting and unpredictable marks. Watch my page for more images over the next few months.

Me gusta. La textura en forma de madera se debe al tipo de emulsión utilizada o porque esta impresa sobre madera o es el tipo de cliché utilizado para la impresión.

Saludos.

Greetings--I have been printmaking for almost 20 years  making monoprints, etchings, collagraphs, etc. Due to injury I have resorted to Gelli-plate mono printing*. I'm just exploring this technique and have mailed out a few samples. See my most recent photos on IUOMA.
