matchbox art

Hello.
I am calling mail art for the first time.
One idea, I want to make art in/on matchbox or of box of its size.
I am not good at making small objects and just want to inspired from other. I would like to gather small sized box art.
I have no intension to show in public at the moment, but I will post on my blog.
Preferably match box size, but it could be like business card box or soap box, candy box etc... (intension of my project is a match box sized art but for YOU the kind of box is OPEN to your creativity)
Sending me in a regular sized airmail envelope, which means I like the box that fit in the size.
no due,
no fee,
international

Thank you.

I am a slow mailer but if you inspired me I will send back something in return.

Sample works

I will post more instruction and examples to give the idea... :)

You can start with template to make your own box or you can repurpose the used matchbox or whatever small box and collage on it, or put some little 3D objects inside... (can be some little ephemera or trash... lol)

William,

Yes the call titled as matchbox art, but I also stated as "any small art box that fits in the size" so her work is perfectly fits. lol

I like her work because I love books.

I will post yours next. (busy so one at a time...)

I like your too because I am interested in space, SiFi, astronaut. :)

I have trouble posting on the group but I will tell group that I have box art from Lorrain Kwan and William Mellott.
Lorrain made original size box sent as flat and William sent me Space Box.
Both are very interesting and inspiring!

from @Taziana Baracchi I first thought it was a regular mail art but she said it's for the mail art call. looking at again the mail art bunny sheet has a size of the matchbox. It's do-it-yourself matchbox design. (^_^)

Here is Keiichi Nakamura 's matchbox is it kind of like a Western painting on Japanese Byobu (screen)? my own interpretation...

plus his additional stamp sheet is funky.

Yes stripygoose, I see that you put a lot of thoughts in there.

You made an original box.

I love the idea of recycle material animal.

Thank you for the inspiration!
