Just wonderful, Helen - hope we get to see lots of the pieces that will go in to the exhibition  - those two pieces are really great

Indeed, Lorinna. So there's hope for me to be a famous artist yet ; )

She also commented in her television interview that women with families rarely reached the heights because their emotional energy was expended upon the family, this was in response to the interviewer asking her why she did not "make it" to the top as a painter.  Most famous Australian Women Artists were childless, Margaret, Olley, Clarice Beckett, Grace Cossington-Smith, and the list goes on....Denise

Betty Churcher was talking on Radio National the other day. She said that talent alone can fast track you to the base of the mountain. It's then up to you to scale it!

Edmund Hilary climbed a mountain, a big one, and I have found this site, not only that logged on and I think I have joined up, great oaks from little acorns grow.

Janette, Thanks for letting me know it arrived intact :)

Some pieces i do not title, i like to allow the viewer to take their own journey.

I keep up to date on what is happening in Australia, been some harsh times there.  I am coming back for a visit in a month, so i am looking forward to that as i have not been home for 5 years and i miss it.

Cheers

Hi Parys

Thank you so much for the wonderful card which arrived today.  I love the colours and the arrangement of shapes.  Each time I look at it I find still more interesting parts.  Do you ever name your art, or do you leave it to the receiver to interpret it?  I liked the packaging too, very sensible as otherwise it would have been drenched.  Just when we think the Wet Season is finally over, another cyclone is brewing.
