Thanks Erni, I have many broken mirror pieces, too, that refuse to be thrown away, and one day something good will have to be done with them. That Duchamp piece disorients me--can't get a grip on what I'm looking at! I like that he accepted the crack in his Large Glass, though. The found object in my first photo is shaped like a Christmas tree ornament, except it is flat, so we think it may have been part of a holiday advertising sign or display.

And this is a little pathetic, but it goes along with Diane's (2) environmentally responsible reason-for-being. Maybe. It's an old bottle that I loved but which fell and smashed about five years ago. Couldn't stand to throw it away, so glued it and its broken pieces into this box. Hope the camera caught the cobwebs.

Great found object by husband! He's helping our town renovate its old minor-league ballpark and came home with this gem from the acres of brush/woods all over the site. It's thin but very heavy + solid metal; must have been around for a long time.

Wow Chepin, that's amazing I have no idea how they could do that. Thanks for posting and great seeing you here!

The naming of the phenomenon is by far *not* my biggest interest in it, though I was curious, and thank you, and realize that along with the name came a number of works. The original number is likely quite small, considering how prolific Diane is--just a mostly uneducated guess--but whatever. The main thing I know for sure is that Diane is a pioneer, she has vision far beyond most people as to what is artistic about, and what can be done artistically with, the fragments, the detritus, the overlooked, the crooked edges of our throw-away society. She sees the universal in the minutest of the individual and makes its beauty obvious when before it was practically invisible to most. Diane, you are a treasure, and a big and meaningful addition to my art life and the other life I sometimes have too. (Where are the cats, anyway? They're in the house but I haven't seen them for two days.)

Yes, it is double rainbows, DK. That's because we have Trashpo to make a better world. Even just a year ago, Trashpo was virtually unknown in ma.

When I first started receiving your work, I had never seen anything like it. I tried to find words to describe it. The only thing that came close was that original Trashpo series Jim Leftwich did, which I also thought people had overlooked.

So now, kids come to IUOMA and find Trashpo. They can't imagine a world without Trashpo. It wasn't always like that. So I think you deserve a lot credit DK.

It's OK - Cheryl was and remains part of Sandpo. She accepted the apology. I had to make it or she wouldn't have been involved in Asemics 16. So it's a happy ending.
