Is the word on a couple of these 'foundopo'? Trashpo is a new term to me. Always thought of the genre as 'found art'. just curious.

She died of liver cancer in 1991, at the age of 39. Such a pity as she was so talented.

I really want the book!! Waiting for the price to come down on Amazon. Our library is great, but they don't have it. She is so inspiring to me. Why do people like this die young>?

Candy Jernigan is one of my FAVOURITE artists! I bought her book Evidence years ago, and also did a research project on her a few years ago when I did a professional artist practice course. Her drawings are also wonderful!

Evidence, is a book about the amazing work of "trashpo" artist, Candy Jernigan. She obsessively collected things as a way of documenting her life. Unfortunately, she died young, but her work is fantastic

Dean Marks said he calls Trashpo Mail Art Omens. I never thought of it that way. He is probably right when he says Trashpo sounds trendy, but it is what it is.
