I’ve had an idea to make a collage card for this summertime song stuck in my head and just now discovered this group. Anyone up for a summertime song exchange? Or just a stuck in your head song?

Back in 2011, we had this group that enjoyed singing, too :-)

Excerpt of a letter by Arthur Rimbaud to Paul Demeny May 15, 1871 on "The Poet as a Visionary" English translation by The Sticker Dude

The poet renders himself a visionary by an immense process of personal disorganization of all his senses. All forms of love, of suffering, of madness; he searches himself, he neutralizes the poisons in himself, but preserves their pure essence. His faith requires incredible pain and superhuman endurance, at once he becomes the great invalid, the great criminal, the damned soul, - and the one who Knows it all! For he attains the unknown! without a problem, since he has cultivated his already rich soul. He may reach the unknown, panic stricken, and may wind up losing his mind. But the visions he has seen will always remain. Let him expire bursting through these countless unutterable things: other dreadful workers will come; they will begin at the horizons where he has collapsed.

Once upon a time, felt so fine

Threw the bums a dime

in your prime,

Didn't you?

People'd call, sayin' 'Beware, Doll',

you thought they were all

Kiddin' you....

I have always wanted to be able to paint the visual I have from these lyrics from Bob Dylan's Visions of Johanna....maybe someday!

"When the jelly-faced women all sneeze
Hear the one with the mustache say, “Jeeze
I can’t find my knees”
Oh, jewels and binoculars hang from the head of the mule
But these visions of Johanna, they make it all seem so cruel"

Tsunami hit the reactor, blew its cooler off the charts

Breeders boiled like fried tempura

Covered all Asia with nuclear dust

My God, we don't know how to douse it!

Maybe the Chines can figure how to market it!

It was sad when the nuke melted down

It was sad, it was sad, it was sad when the nuke melted down

Husbands, lovers and wives, little children lost their lives

It was sad when the nuke melted down

to the tune of "The Great Ship Went Down"

I think it's funny that you care how many people participate - even if there were only two it would be worth it.  But, hey, it was your idea in the first place so, if you are tired of it, no need to keep it going.

You did it YOUR way.  ;)
