THE FIREBIRD, inspired by Stravinsky

This was inspired by the music of South African jazz giant, Abdullah Ebrahim, or as he was known then, Dollar Brand.  The cigarette image is from a metal trading store sign that graces my studio.  For a sublime musical experience, try Sweet Basil Blues from the CD Blues for a Hip King.

Painted envelope I amiled to Helen Daley in Australia.

Title "In the court of the Crimson King" refers to first LP of King Crimson. Have the CD now, extended one with alternate takes of certain songs. Favorite song: Epitaph

Here's a quick black and white postcard I made this weekend featuring an anonymous 60s rock band.

An old Cliff Richard song, called 'Summer Holiday':

"We're all going on a summer holiday
no more working for a week or two.
Fun and laughter on our summer holiday,
no more worries for me or you,
for a week or two.

We're going where the sun shines brightly
we're going where the sea is blue.
we've all seen it on the movies,
now let's see if it's true.

Everybody has a summer holiday
doin' things they always wanted to
So we're going on a summer holiday,
to make our dreams come true
for me and you.
for me and you. "

I'm going away, not exactly on a summer holiday, but I'll be back in a week or two.

I hope that you enjoy your summer.

Regards, le tour de val

Val, I'll be preparing two cards for you, including one for the Day of May, and I have your address in hand.

I like your wording: "TO ANY AND ALL MEMBERS OF THE GROUP WHO MAY BE READING THIS......what do you want from this group, if anything? What are you prepared to contribute to this Group, if anything?"

Hope that gives us some more time!

For what it's worth, I do see more than one vitally interested gang here in groups which are ongoing, fresh, really hip. Nothing wrong with that. But wouldn't you want something to continue that had been going well enough for long whiles?

Let's not generalize away the idea some groups are livelier than this one.
