In 1531, the monks of the Benedictine Abbey of St. Hilaire, near Limoux in the Aude produce in their wine cellar unusual white foam which is naturally. The Blanquette de Limoux was created.
Limoux is the origin of the first sparkling wine in the world.

Greek Mail Artists eat Doughnut Holes!
Well, Greeks, in general, loooove loukoumades with lots of honey.
In my ol' chicago neighborhood, the Greek baker would make special batches of these around Christmas time...we kids called them "doughnut holes" as the recipe and deep frying is the same as making doughnuts!
Loukoumades are also known as Greek Honey Puffs,
or Greek Honey Dumplings.
And at Hanukkah, they are called "sufganiyot", I think.
Whatever...they are deeeeeeelicious!

This is Go Fish, one of my favourite places to eat. Today I had the yummy coconut chowder and the tuna burger. If you're going to eat here you have to dress for the weather, no shelter. They are open year round at lunch time. The fish is fresh and the seasonings are perfect, I give it 4 stars ****

The Cognac region of France has many great things to offer. Obviously Cognac is the most recognized product, win and champagne are also well known but there is also a product called Pineau de Charentes that is a combination of cognac and freshly pressed juice from very ripe grapes. This product is very common in the Cognac region of France, but the further you get from Cognac, the less know this product is.
