Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Good tip, Boo!
Fabulous suggestions! Thanks.
I'm now going to post my final ten. Nine.
Rebecca, I build almost all of my collages on 4 x 6 pieces cut from cereal boxes. I collect them for a while and then cut them up all at once so I always have at least 50 "canvases" to work on. Having any sort of base prepared makes it easier for me to begin. Also, back when I was doing other sorts of projects, I decided to work ten minutes a day, every day. Extremely effective tactic, because if I wanted to work longer I could, and if I were feeling sluggish I'd day, "It's only ten minutes. How hard can that be???"
'Cause by now Mim & Katerina are old hands at this! Woo hoo, only today and tomorrow! I'm just now starting on today's cards, putting it off a bit later, just to prolong the project, maybe.
I worked with prepared papers or cardboards that were cut to postcard size. I kept a good stash and worked in batches, or in one -a-day special, the background or mounted color inspired the finished piece. I remember when I started a year ago, I prepared cards and envelopes in an index-file box...my "365"box of goodies. Here it is today, on the "Eve of 365":
Mim, good advice! I need to get started today now that the thanksgiving activities are cleared away. I find a blank white cards daunting sometimes, I think it helps me to have some cards prepared with color or pattern, then it is easier for me to get going. I save white blanks for when I want to zentangle.
