Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Bravo, Boo!!!! See? Just a-bit-of-batches, a happy series of cards...and whalaaa! 365 of 365! Now might one be coming on its way to Greece? hint, hint!
Bravo to Deb, too! First ten done...next november you will be amazed how fast the year went by, and how rewarding it is to do 365 and MORE mail art pieces. Go, girl!
And TODAY is....?
Ahem. After my last post here, I came up with a series idea for the last 50. Each contains a comment, statement, reflection, idea based on doing 365 pieces of mail art in 365 days. I have my usual finishing up rigamarole to go through, but as of ten minutes ago I have completed 365 of 365!
You are on such a roll, Boo! Stay calm and carry on!
What I came here to post was the information that I've now put a total of 315 pieces on my blog, which means I have only 50 more to finish in the next -- how many days is it until November 30? 25? 40? : )
I want you to know that I adore 296. One of my best pieces ever. The doll is mine, and I named her Mary Hoyer when I was 8 because that was the name inscribed on her back. I did NOT GIVE her that haircut.
I never expect anything in return when I send mail art as a surprise, but when I get a response like this, it makes the reason for making mail art very clear.
"Thank you! I am sitting here at my computer and your wonderful (wonderful!) mail art carte postale numero 343 is propped against my computer screen! It is a treasure, especially in this digital age where our eyes are glued to the screen, yet our senses are searching for paper. I can now grab onto this piece of art and touch down to an artful reality.
Merci beaucoup for making my mailbox a museum!"
Yea, Boo!
World Hello Day? Who knew.
I'm aiming to finish 365 pieces of art by December 1, but I'm not leaving. One plan is to return to the blog and comment on all of the art I missed commenting on in June, July, September, October.... And to make more art.
GREAT news, Mim! We know you are hooked..........
