I usually block out an address just to emphasis the beauty of the envelope and not have it as a distraction:

As our addresses are on our page, no "secret" about it :-)

Thinking more about the question of privacy and blurring addresses for posting in a group such as this... I just read Richard and Carl's comments. Something Carl said struck me: "please go to my page and see my address, we need more mail-art!".  Yes, our name and address are on each of our pages for all to see. Why bother blotting out the name/address of an envelope on a group page? I hate to see suspicion and paranoia take away from sharing mail. That's what IUOMA is about. Even if the postman/woman reads the backs of my postcards, I don't think anything I say to an IUOMA member will set their hearts racing. Am I missing something?

to members, ya i agree w/ richard, quite amazing in a mail-art group where

ppl don't want to share their address, get w/ the program, this is about connecting openly w/ other creatives, some ppl nowadays are so suspicious and panicked about doing normal activities. please go to my page and see my address, we need more mail-art!
