At the risk -- hope? -- of there being as many answers as there are mail artists, do people who produce mail art like commentary about their work?

yes I do.  positive or negative, it tells me that my art is not dropping into a silent pool of apathy.

wOw, thanks Heide!

I know my art is an acquired taste lol. I'm just trying to find a few people who are into it and wanna trade in a regular basis.

I appreciate thoughtful comments and suggestions more than either "wow" or "this sucks"... which are equally unhelpful. I'm in a FB group where everyone feels required to "love" everything and it is a bit tedious.  You read silences as gravely critical!

the FB "like" is equivalent to going 'hmhm' in real life during a conversation.  It really means "I hear you" or perhaps "I see what you are saying"  neither of which exist in FB lingo.

i absolutely welcome it, in all of its shades & contrast. we r all here 2 share in one way or another so feedback is not essential, but nice & sometimes necessary.

Yes!
