Karen Champlin has created these beautiful asemic sticks. Asemic-haptic work?

Bruno - I would love to know your thinking behind these??? The placement as a noun - great :-)

Gold star, Bruno. Kat and Afroditi - thanks for posting. It sure seems to me like Afroditi is doing asemic work naturally in her paintings. The symbols are subtle and the textures are wonderful. I like the sky in particular.

With Afroditi this afternoon and I managed to have her join this group. Her art work is full of "asemics". Will help by posting her art here:

That is a detail showing her calligraphic markings. She uses egg tempera and the above is an upper left detail of Zeus and the Bay of Thessaloniki looking at Mt.Olympus.The painting is 70 x 100 cm.

Welcome Afroditi, I very much look forward to see what you are doing with symbols in your painting. Thanks!

I joined up to see the art work here. For my paintings I use a great deal of calligraphic markings. I will post a few later. Now I learned that it could be called "asemic".

Ah, I need to jump in here and offer a gigantic apology. I have screwed up sandpo and by extension trashpo and asemic writing here at IUOMA. I believe Cheryl's responses are the result of something I wrote. I take full responsibility for the mistake; it won't happen again. Cheryl probably took the stance she did and expressed it in the way she did because she mistakenly thinks DK expelled her from the Sandpo movement. DK never did that nor did she even suggest it. Further, Cheryl might believe DK called her "a social parasite and decadent." That was meant to refer to ME, not Cheryl. I need to try to straighten this out with Cheryl, if possible. Please move forward in harmony and peace with asemic writing. I am, as ever, unworthy.
