Ty Hannigan here. -- Here is what I do (currently)

1st:

I scan new postcards when they arrive and file the image in my computer under the artist's name. I keep the artist's name under a file called IUOMA or Mail Art. I also maintain a sub-file for the postcards I've sent the artist. Lately I've started putting the year (21,22,23,24) in front of the postcard's name.

2nd:

I use loose leaf binders to hold the cards. There are clear photo sleeves available with 2 or 3 compartments which will hold  standard postcards. Larger postcards will need additional handling.

3rd:

I also keep a record of when I receive or send a postcard in the binders.

 4th:

At any time I can review & enjoy the collection. It's like going into a gallery or museum.

Want to support the IUOMA with a financial gift via PayPal?

The money will be used to keep the IUOMA-platform alive. Current donations keep platform online till 1-july-2025. If you want to donate to get IUOMA-publications into archives and museums please mention this with your donation. It will then be used to send some hardcopy books into museums and archives. You can order books yourself too at the IUOMA-Bookshop. That will sponsor the IUOMA as well.

IMPORTANT: please use the friends/family option with donation on Paypal. That makes transaction fee the lowest

This IUOMA platform on NING has no advertisings, so the funding is completely depending on donations.
