I never really thought I will write about this topic, yet here it is. Needless to remind, I already mentioned it, but my comment was rudely deleted (you know who you are, I would friendly notice. And not only you) What is the reason to post and share the low quality photos of the mail one received ? To acknowledge that the certain sending (piece of mail) arrived? One photo is talking more than 1000 words, right?! Okey dokey then you silly receiver! Your blurry images and low quality photos (darky, murky, dimmed, clouded, gloomy, depressing in its own light,  shadowy, etc...you name it - are annoying and time-wasting so I will not even think to click on those. There you go. Satisfied? You impolitely deleted my comment. Oh, thank you! Stay safe in your little world of gloomy low quality photos for the rest of you selfishness. You think you sharing, but no! Low quality photos are not sharing, it is more likely hiding important details about certain exchange. Nobody can see the date of the official postal stamp, let alone somehing else. So if we can't see the date, we don't know how many days that particular item was travelling. How nice! Etc, etc. We can not read small prints, we just see blurry images, words, everything messed up and non readable. Oh, thank you for sharing. Or, hiding. Spare us from your miserable photos in XXI century, when even the cheapest cellphone models are with 1MB option, but you set it to the lowest possible option of below/around miserable 200 KB so nobody will read that ''important'' and ''personal'' details. So, kindly buzz off !

Hey, hey, hey, my dear friend !
You know, I am the exact one you are talking about !! :-) We talked about it yesterday, personally. Okay, now, I understand you better on this post of yours. Good. Yesterday, you sounded more like 5 or 6 years old, really. Because you are just going, like, it is annoying, annoying, and that it it. :-)

Personally, I think I understand your statement more or less because you really are my dear friend, you know, and I admire you more or less for your courage to post it as you are now ready to take the mass criticisms.

But really, you cannot order everyone to please yourself. It is so nice you take time to click many, many photo images, to meet what you really like, and you take time to see people 's mail art, but still there are times, I, myself, choose small lower quality photo images when uploading. Being a non-tech person myself is one reason, and yes, personally, you give me good advice on it. I appreciate it.

But there is an online etiquette, especially on IUOMA ! :-)

We are all good friends here on IUOMA, connected via mail art, so people generally on IUOMA have tolerance on your personal statements and remarks, but you are now pointing a finger at me, I can go like, what... ?

But anyway, you are still my dear friend, and I hear you, no worries. But, again, you are a little bit like 5 or 6 year old to me :-) :-)

Kiki, I did not mention you, or your photos. So, it is completely wrong to envolve like that. However, one can blame me to be 5 or 6 years old, that's fine. I am feeling very young anyway, much younger than 5 or 6.

Much youger than 5 or 6, eh ? :-) Funny, I like that :-) Anyway, you are so honest on so-called low quality photos and we, IUOMA people see that. You are probably not the only one on that. Dear friend, but uploading photos can be a bit too technical for certain people. I still cannot figure why my photos be upside-down and whatnot, even after your advice. I probably have to go to the place where I bought it and ask why.

Anyway, dear friend, thank you for reading my comment. Please take care and talk soon ! :-)

Point is missed. It is not only the point who is publishing what, it the question of the ''low quality'' photos. Nobody is required to post any photos. Yet if one is posting the photos, they should be of descent quality.  In these days of XXI century, it is very easy to adjust your photo-camera or cellphone camera to the desired quality of the photos. That's what was the point. I did not offend anybody, nor wanted to know who is in what condition. Any given condition or ability is their personal thing, I don't need to know and I did not know it , when we talk about the quality. No need to intermingle other things from ones personal life if we talk about the quality of the photos. It is almost pointless to share photos of low qulaity if one can not see the detail in them. And everything is in the detail. If one is the owner of particular item, it would be normal to share photo of descent quality. If one is not agreeing with my conclusion, there s no need to attack me and accusing me of something I never pointed to. I did not point my finger to anybody. If one was finding herself/himself in that situation, it is only revealing something new.

Changing the thesis, as they suits one's intention , is not the answer to the situation. If you see yourself as ''You know who you are'' then you first revealed your atributes, not me. I never used any names, did I ? And when I did, indirectly, and i accent: indirectly,  my comment was deleted, unfriendly and mercylessly. I am not the one who will establish the rules, and I never mention ''rules''. It is easy to say ''I did not know how to... '' or ''Who is judging...'' = but I never mentioned any rules and judging in my posts. I just mentioned the low quality of the photos. And nothing else. Now, you mention ''rules'' , ''judging'' , ''terms of service'' etc, I never mentioned any of those. There are no rules and judgings and terms of service for the quality of the photos, either you share good quality or you share low quality, that is the question. But that simple question is , perhaps, too difficult to answer for certain participants.

....and I never mention any ''rejection'' for Almighty Postal God sake !

I just question the low quality of the photos, in aim to benefit all members of community, since the low quality photos are not usually having important information, in opposition to medium or high quality photos. So simple, so straight.

When it comes to buzzing off, it is always funny to conclude who shall do it. There's nothing wrong to buzz, let alone buzz off, if one is willing to do so, I did not name anybody, so filling the position for buzzing is still opened.

Dear friend,

Are you okay ? No one is attacking you so please relax and feel easy, please :-) Just, there are senior people and maybe even handicapped people on IUOMA, so if possible, please go easy on their way of IUOMA enjoyment all in all :-) If you ever see what you think are low quolity photos, perhaps you can submit some positive words to help them regarding tech matters, rather than posting comments straight away that they are annoying to you.  That way, people feel more appreciative to read your comments. Let us keep IUOMA positive together :-)

:-)  :-) Please take care and talk with you soon !

It's not all bad. I'm certainly no champion in the great competition of posting photos on the website, but every time I try to do a good job.

I remember when I first started Mail Art, I sent to about 10 people whose addresses I found. I got back one anonymous hate letter. I didn't know which of the 10 sent it, so I made a collage out of it, added some of my own input, and sent a copy to everyone on the list to make sure the person got it. I didn't get any more hate mail.

Maybe if anyone feels that they got a hate message as part of mail art activities on or offline, they could try this - make art out of it and put that out. In this type of art the reaction is part of the art, right?

Just a suggestion. The way I dealt with it way back then made me feel better about Mail Art when I needed a boost to not give up when I had just started.

For example if I got a hate message about my photos, I might print them out and then put them outside and stomp on them, scratch them, rub off parts of them, or otherwise damage them then put them back up. That could be funny!
