Event Description

A Mail Art Call for Self-Portraits!

As realistic or abstract as you would like to make them!

Originally devised as a Calendar Girl-esque group by my friend Val, he has since asked me to take over the project.

So after some brief thinking I decided to make this a mail art call for self-portraits.

We are accepting both Email and old-fashioned Mail Art for this call!

When submitting your work, please include the month you would like to be associated with, otherwise a random month will be chosen for you!

Mail your Self-Portraits to:

SMARTSIS (or SMARTBROS)

1234 Sandusky Dr.

Iowa City, IA 52240

USA

or EMail your digital submissions to:

moomoosuperhero@gmail.com

All submissions will be on permanant display at

mail-art-sisters.blogspot.com

regular mail submissions will be re-mailed to Sigean, France in batches monthly or bi-monthly to Val!

I like where this is going...are you going to accept more than one self-portrait per month...I'd still like to be Ms. November...Amy  :-)

but i wasn't born in february: i was born in october. oh well, i'm not about to give birth soon.

i'm sending you a postcard tomorrow -- you and the martins will recognise it when you see it; you may want to post it somewhere in the SMARTSIS/BROS annals...or you may not.

regards l'hermit

That's a great thing to have started superorganisational hero.

Can is submit the 7 (or was it 9) calendar girl photos i posted a few days ago before we had the Group?

Feel free to use any or all of them in whatever SMARTSIS publicity/free art plans you have. (just send me a cheque when my share of the film, video, magazine etc royalties and image rights gets past $10,000)

a friend has just taken a sunflower photo of me on his mobile phone, and with a bit of luck i'll be able to send it to you and the SIS&BROS by tomorrow.

Regards, Sunny Bono Herman
