 ail art developed a separate art\ndirection and at the same time there
  was a growth of\ninterest tin the artist’s book. Mail art and artis
 ts’ books of\nthat time developed in the wake of a protest movement\
 nagainst the commercialisation of art and the dictatorship\nof the gal
 lery system. Most mail artists of the 60s worked\nwith the artist’s 
 book format as well. Some years ago, these\ntwo areas occupied separat
 e niches in contemporary art, but\nthe point of intersection between t
 hem, of course, remains.\nDevelopment of a dialogue between mail art a
 nd the artist’s\nbook is the aim of this project.\nPractice: The art
 ists create a mail-art message, dedicated\nto the artist’s book, or 
 vice versa - make an artist’s book\ndedicated to mail-art. All sizes
