I was asked by one of the mail artists who is contributing what my relationship with Cranberry Island is... I grew up in NYC and spent summers (and other holidays) on Great Cranberry Island. I have been an expatriate living in various countries, and have spent the years since 2000 in England.  Although I think of myself as a New Yorker, Cranberry Island is my American home now and I spend some time every summer there with my wonderful family - four Guyvers, ten Mosses, and four Kehoes. The island is an inspiring community that has shaped who I am.  This mailart exhibit is one way of bringing some of my worlds together!

In other news mailart has arrived from Bernd (Brussels) , Angie (USA), and Katerina Nikoltsou (Greece) , Chris (Australia), Arac (USA)! Many thanks. I am posting once they have been received on Cranberry Island and when I receive jpegs from my mailart helper on the island. You can take a look at:

Hi Rebecca, just made a collage for this project: THE MYSTERY ISLE.

It is A4, so I’ll reduce to an A5 print.

Greek Islands coming your way, Rebecca...

Yippee! I've never been to Wisconsin but your description brings it to life. 1/3 of Cranberry island is heath and rumour has it that people disappeared in the bogs...they have minks too.
