Event Description

Saturday May 13th is the day to celebrate the amazing things birds do:

Migrating birds use the stars, sun, wind patterns and landforms  for navigation. No sat nav.

And birds may fly from 15-600 miles or more per day during migration. Phew.

Migrating birds travel at speeds ranging from 15-50 miles per hour - not bad!

Celebrate by sending bird mailart on Saturday May 14th 2017 - to me or to anyone.

stripygoose, PO Box 72737, London SW202EZ, England

Let's just get lots of birds in the post. I will blog on my IUOMA page.

Actually these THREE tiny jazz birdies were to "migrate" to London early,

did they ever arrive?

Ah yes FB. Beautiful stamps. Thank you. Not sure what's going on in the rest of the image but you gotta love that chicken suit!

Your bird arrived today, stripygoose - thank you!

Glad to see my birds arrived in London - here's the bonus bird on the envelope... well, I guess 2 birds if you count the stamp (even though chickens can't fly, they can migrate through the post).
