The Pacific Region Women’s Caucus for Art invites artists of all ages as well as activists and concerned individuals from around the world to create a postcard addressing water issues affecting our planet for “Elements: An Eco-Art Conference” to be held June 25, 2010 at the David Brower Center in Berkeley, California.
EXHIBIT CONCEPT:
All postcard art will be displayed at the Brower Center, during the Conference. Postcard art received will be part of our postcard trading wall where conference attendees and the general public may trade a work of art they have created for one of your works. Electronic versions of the cards are shown worldwide on the eco-art activism blog page, ecoartactivism.wordpress.com, during May and June, 2010.
There is no jury, no fees and no return of artwork.
Art Specifications: Art must be on one of three standard letter postcard sizes: 6 x 4¼, 7 x5, or 8 ½ x 6 inches. Artwork can be either horizontal or vertical. Multiple submissions are welcome. The back of the postcard must include: artist’s name, title of artwork and medium. The artist may also include her email address and website URL.
Deadline: If mailed, postcards must be received no later than May 31th, 2010 to be included in the show. You might also bring your postcards to the Elements conference and trade them on the trading wall.
