What do you do with all your Mail Art?

I keep it all organized and donate it to an archives every few years.

Choosing your categories must get challenging sometimes.

How is this done, please?

keep it, sort it and archive it.....

I once sent all my mail-art from (former) East-Germany to the Schwerin Museum in Germany. They have a mail-art collection (after the project mail-art in East-Germany) and it felt right that they would have all these mail-art items from east Germany from before 1989. They were very glad and they have the collection in their permenant archive on mail-art.

Well, it's a growing collection, some of it too precious to give away. With each new influx, our large sized message board grows fuller, so one of these days, I imagine a decision will have to be made. I personally have kept cigar boxes crowded with artist postcards, also some announcing shows. These might get recycled into other artwork at one point.

The point is, it's hard to keep up with for any of us with active posting schedules

I'll be interested to read what the others say here.
