Victorian Christmas

Continuing the Victorian tradition of a Ghostly, Gothic Christmas, a darker, interpretation of the holiday, older, more fundamental: winter, death, rebirth. There’s no need to give up spooky after Halloween.

Welcome, Bradford.

The bird is still useful, though quite dead, as an ambassador compelling me to join this group.

Received this lovely Victorian-inspired card from Sabrina Schmider. A lovely drawing of a dead bird, thought to bring good luck by Victorians, and a nice decorated envelope and nice note inside. Thank you, Sabrina!

Gonna assume everyone received their Victorian Christmas card. So I’m posting an image for posterity.

Today your Victorian Christmas mail arrived, Maxima! Thank you so much for it! I'll not post a photo yet as I  don't want to spoil it for the others in case it didn't arrive in the UK yet, for example.

PS, no I didn’t do the art for the group image. I found it on the Internet!
