What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

I love it - we're on the home straight and Mim and Katerina are on track yet there is still optimism and encouragement! I love this group!

Camel, the official end date is December 1st 2011, but unless we all start making 5 a day it's game on til whenever. I figure it's better to limp in with 365 over 3 years than to give up! Mailart365.com will be the showcase for anyone wanting to hit 365 pieces as long as the desire is there to make that many mailart pieces!

Hurray for community and keep plugging away team!

Glad you're catching up, PLP.   Glad the two of you got to meet. Regarding my consistency - a few thoughts - perhaps because I watched my son go through his 365 project (skull-a-day) which started on 4 June 2007, I had a good idea of what it'd be like. Also, it was like, how could I NOT do this, if he was able to, while holding down a full time job, which I don't have. And I internalized his points on doing this - one being to give up preciousness and perfection. His subsequent book - 365 Make Something Everyday and Change Your Life, clarified the points. Also, a heads up, Andy is mentioned in the latest book - UNSTUCK (author - my son, Noah Scalin) Oh can ya tell, I'm an unpaid marketer for him. ha haha ha  On a note of full disclosure - I was never much one for perfection anyway.

After reading a bunch to catch up - I guess i should say :

I met Mim's son Noah - mail-artist by proxy???

Super cool dude but wow i needed a phat roast beef sandwich after he left, not sure i can hang with the veggie lifestyle...

Still waiting for JJ to make a visit seeing as how she is just down south now.
Maybe I should go down there... well i have no excuse other than cash

As for Paris, I could def use some culture - stinky cheez & wine
but will I make it there? not likely....

Love you all & certainly scream @ me if you are in town....

i am way behind...
been uninspired & slammed with tattoo clients....

Not sure why I call them clients when none of them ever pay anything - but i am not gonna complain about practice time!!!

For those of us originals - what is the final day again?

Like many of you I'm plugging away but behind in posting, so sad. What are you folks going to do when you reach 365 in December? I hope you will not be leaving us!! Many of us did not sign up until well after the start date.

Paris.... how nice so many of you will be meeting up. I was hoping Andy and Elena would come state side at some point so some of us could met here, any chance of that happening in the future?

Katerina, you didn't ask for one, but I'm giving it to you anyway:  "WHOOP!"  That is fantastic - only 50 more to go!!
