What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Tee-hee - I knew you would pick up on my positive vibrations, Mim.  You know Crozet??  Such a dot!  And what a dot - delightful to have a view from morn 'til night of the Blue Ridge.

Wow, in Crozet, that lovely little dot on the map in the beautiful foothills. I knew there was someone looking my way & it was YOU, mabb.

Hi, everybody!  I'm back home after a trip to Long Island for a niece's wedding, and then to  Virginia to rendevous with daughter and sun-in-law, at his parents' house, to see them off on their move to Hawaii!

Mim, we were outside Charlottesville, in Crozet, and I did look eastward and think about you over there in Richmond.  We were stuck like glue to the young 'uns, tho, cause they're moving so far away, so forgive me for not getting in touch.

Paris 2012!  Wow!!  How exciting!  Not likely I'll make the meet-up, but one never knows, does one?  :)  Nice to dream about it, tho.

Dean Mark's is in Paris, he'll come, too, I'm sure. We might even be able to get some of the people who live nearby. A good cafe would be the one in the Swedish Cultural Centre on rue Payenne. We'd just have to eat some Swedish sandwiches and soup. Or come play in our studio at the cite! Oh, this will be fun!

Definitely count me in and the computer breaking down won't stop me making that one, what a great idea, I might even bring my young helpers (daughters) with me!

Ya all read that: "100 pieces of mail art"?

Now, if we are 20 people, not bad, not bad at all, 5 mail art pieces each.

So, is everyone planning to be in Paris with Mim? Let's do it! ;-)

Elena, Katerina and I had already started planning Paris. It's just a short Eurostar hop away and Scott may come over too. I had this idea of doing 100 pieces of mailart with all of us in a weekend in a cafe. Loads of glue, paint and some French Bread. Should be great!

I hope we can have a meet-up in Paris, and maybe there'll be some IUOMA members nearby who'd join us.

Managed to post it all Katerina - all scheduled to go up this week. Have so much on at work that all the mailart on 365 is a more than welcome distraction I can tell you! Missing you already Katerina - wish you and Mim were our neighbours!

So when are we gonna tell Mim about our Paris plan then?
