Pranking the unsuspecting

Lets record fun things done to the unsuspecting via mail like the time JMBennett received a rotten steak or my relatively tame example posted today of playing with a company/person who MUST respond to my blather.

Wow, so much mail after such a long time. So there's a lot of mail to return, Carolyn :-)

An Australian mail artist I found on instagram and whose returns-to-senders I admire, is, er, I forgot her name. Her returning envelopes might inspire you (and all of us), see

And THIS is the end of Round One! Darn it! Now I'll have to find an effective address and re-send the letter!

I found "Junk Mail Backlash" at issu [https://issuu.com/uncleskinny/docs/junkmailbacklash]. Listed as pub 18 Oct 2008 and the download button is greyed out. I also found this title listed elsewhere as by the Junkmail Desperados. Neither ABEbooks or Amazon books show it as available.

We all want to see the response, Fike.

Reminds me of a wonderful old zine called 'Junk Mail Backlash', full of prank letters sent to direct mail companies, filling their lists with ludicrous obscene pseudonyms which were all taken seriously by the companies.

I love to complain about a product, and then find myself with complimentary coupons for the SAME product. I don't want another one of THOSE! LOL! I'm going to write and ask for coupons for a competitor's product. YUM!
