Found Asemics by Dave Araki (New York City, USA)

Asemic vispo by Dave Araki (New York City, USA)

April 22, 2017 - Dave Araki submitted these pieces for the Karnival of Trash exhibition, but I found them much more relevant to Asemic Front. These compelling images, given the distressed and weathered nature of the originals that arrived in a similarly battered envelope, appear to be found material. (Trashpo tends to be a little more raw.) The notion of “Found Asemics” is, of course, another exciting genre we have explored the IUOMA asemic writing group.

Pleased to meet you.

The response to this as vispo (visual poetry) has been excellent. So you can also find it on the Asemic Front blog. I can see why it was intended for the Karnival of Trash, but as the Kulters say "To smart for Trashpo." ;)
