I love how this wonderful book by Frieder arrived in a very modest envelope. The surprise was all the greater when I found what was inside: an accordion-style book with hard covers, size:13 x 16cm, monoprinting, drawings and poems (written on a typewriter). Love it!

Thank you for the fantastic book & inspiration, Frieder!

Very often these books are a kind of by-product. paper that Idon´t want to throw away, sketches I do in these books, ore techiques of bookbinding I try, trys of printings. The challenging process is to give these books something that brings them alive. sometimes I like it at the end, sometimes they end in a corner somewhere.

Thanks Frieder. I wonder how my art would look like now if I had come across artists' books (or artists who make books) 20 years ago. It's a wonderful format that improves your art even if it's just a part of it... The poem should be read out loud. :)

The first artist books I made very early 20 years ago? But I don´t make constantly artist books. And yes its not easy to understand the words because some aerr nt translated and the meaning changed through the process

Ha, I need a Dada dictionary, Frieder. The poem is great, I like to read it althought I don't understand the words very well. How long have you been making artists' books, Frieder?

Thanks for blogging Carina, I had great fun by making it, I took one old poem and translated it from German to english via Google Translater, to Swedish, to finnish ( these two languages just for you) and again to german. And I found that the translater machines are DADA poetmachines!
