  • MAIL ART CALL by Afroditi Karamanli 2ND TRIENNALE OF THE GALLERY OF COLOURS: Theme: "THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS" "There are still wars going on in the East" My mother's family came as refugees from Aidin near Smyrna,(Izmir, Turkey) during the Asia Minor Catastrophe,1922. Gallery of Colours Exhibit , 2nd May 2016: Second day of Pascha/Easter of the Orthodox Church, and the movable feast of Saint George who according to the texts, hit the evil dragon with his spear. Nowadays, the dominant powers fight with each other, killing the civilian population, while refugees are forced to flee from their countries and go through many hardships. In retaliation, global terrorists threaten civilians and destroy monuments of humanity. However, we look forward to a new time that is coming and brings forth optimism and a vision for the future. Instructions: 1.Size; max A4 2.All materials are permitted. 3.The works are not to be returned and have to be original. 4.No photographs. 5.Dead

The deadline is extended to April 20, 2016, for the "Silence of the Lambs" mail art exhibit.
