No problem, August! I look forward to some mail from you. I am relocating right now and it's taking a bit of time to find a place to settle. We have been living in Germany for a couple of years. I will get back to you with an address very soon.

Welcome August. I, too am new to IUOMA.

Iceland has always intrigued me. I will send you a card when you post a mailing address if that is good with you.

Bonjour August! Nice to hear from you. You ask what should you do with unwanted mail and messages? If they come from IUOMA, there are various ways that you can cut them off. Example 1: it's possible to choose  a 'not to follow this discussion anymore' option, and the system will stop sending you the various messages that are part of it; Example 2: if you make a Friend and that Friendship doesn't work out because you are being bombarded with messages, then it's possible to end the Friendship.

What I do in this situation is simply to ignore the messages and mail -- I don't open them, and certainly don't reply to them. Whoever is sending them to you will probably soon stop doing so when they realise that you are not responding.

If you give me any specific examples of the unwanted stuff that's bothering you, I will try and be more focussed in helping you;

Hope the Mail Art is going well,

Regards, Val

Dear August,

Welcome to IUOMA!

It's a great bunch of folks and I hope that you enjoy exchanging Mail Art with us. I'm your Mentor, and if I can help to ease you into IUOMA in any way, then please don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to explain what's going on and how IUOMA works.

If you haven't already done so, I suggest you take a look at the 'New to IOUMA' page (4th from the left at the top of the IUOMA home page) where you'll find a 10-point Introductory Guide that should give you an insight as to what is going on.

Would you like to exchange some Mail Art with me? If so, send me something to 1 Rue de la Vieille Fontaine, F-11130 Sigean, France, and I PROMISE to send you something back. Like you, I send mail the 'old-fashioned way', and for me that's the only way. I don't have an Icelandic mail Art Freind so would value you as my first (and only?) one.

Hoping you enjoy your IUOMA days.

Regards, Val Herman
