The Elgin Mansion does not have a picket fence, we do, however, have a pitchfork suspense

Dkult is in the process of exorcising all French elements from Trashpo. The French have been very vocal about their disdain for and judgement of Trashpo. We are not banning French trash--if you can find it, but we are not encouraging it either.

Hi Richard, yes, it's a Statue of Liberty scene still from the original "Planet of the Apes" (1968?).

In my version, DK's image is emblazoned upon a collapsing drive-in movie screen, and it's hard to make it out. It's a poor collage.

Well, the DKulters and Trashpoets are said to believe in a "Trashpocalypse" that will mark the end of wasteful, consumerist society. I suppose some of it is satirical and a kind of black humor regarding the state of the world. "Planet of the Apes" seemed a good connection to DKult. "Mad Max" might also.

Trashpo is a protest against consumerism and a pleas for recycling, in addition to other things.

The original "Planet of the Apes" novel by Pierre Boulle is a fairly bitter political satire about, I assume, the French government. The films are great but the satire is mostly lost.

03.09.15 Dare DeVillo S., ...Very funny ( or is it ????... I do habitually watch the nightly news)... I believe this was indeed the  ironic & powerful statement  & scene from the late great Charleston, (S. C.) Heston in the film "Planet of the Apes"...almost as ironic & prophetically significant for Amerikah as his "real life" stance for our fellow comrades in arms at the NRA... (i.e."from my cold dead hands" or some such jazz). ...Does 407 S. Liberty  Street actually have a picket fence???? Ave uh nez dae. Richard C.
