From the venerable Richard Canard, a fellow curmudgeon. It's a somewhat sad commentary on the state of red state fashion. Thank you, Richard.

In certain mail art circles I seem to be the go to guy for climate disaster. At least that's what it seems like. Here's Dean's cool (frigid) collage of contrasts (c.c.o.c.) which I can't help viewing through my own disaster filter.

Thank you, Dean.

Here's xx jones stylish pastel(?) For some reason it makes me think of the circus...stairway to the clown room. Thank you, xx. Oh, and here's something else from xx jones.

See what I mean....

A strange landscape from Alicia which includes a thank you note addressed to "Dave." Coincidence? We just don't know. However, in the event, that this is the directed correspondence of a grandmother to a grandchild I can only be so gracious as to add.

For some reason I've been drawing a lot of chaise lounges (it's my chaise lounge period) Anyway, it surprised me to find them sprouting on Alicia's resort beach from hell (seen through my disaster lenses).

Nadine sent me this notification of adoption. I haven't heard if she went with Kendy. (She seemed okay to me). As well as a couple of her subversive portraits. Urban types gone bad. Personal note to Nadine: We saw Noam Chomsky last night...wottaguy...He's rarely at a loss for words. Thank you, Nadine.

(Here I apologize for the puffy type on these things. I inadvertently pushed the puffy button in photoshop).

Jon has sent me...(many things) but this is the one that emerged from the enormous pile. More Rosenquistian explorations into America's deranged psyche via the pop-culture skinsheds. (Jon, feel free to use that on your website). This particular one puts me in mind of a quilt, a disastrous quilt. Thank you, Jon.

Nancy sent me one of her exquisitely composed collages. It's a Valentine in reverse. A page torn asunder from a Bosom Novel. A giraffe eating a bratwurst at a tony little brunch bistro in South Portland. Thank you, Nancy. Could you use the fonts?

Brooke Cooks has sent two collages now, one a love bomb, the other a timely commentary. Love your color palettes. The top one is soooo Art Necco wafer. Thank you, Brooke.

Jay Block sent me this cosmic pop up babe but alas...she arrived somewhat disassembled. Still lovely however. If you check out my flickr site you'll find a wide assortment of bullet bras as well as many items also available in our etsystoreyworey. (sorry, this is a sponsored blog. It's out of my hands). I've consulted with some graphic engineers who specialize in repairing damaged pop up mail art. They begin with elaborate reconstructions so they can see what the artist's intent might have been. Near as we can tell the model was supposed to pop up from the mundane world of the flesh and into the cosmic (somewhat disastrous) void. I'll let you know when the reconstruction is complete. In the meantime, thank you, Jay.

Finally but not leastly, Carina sent me a large portfolio of things. Membership cards, Amelia Earhart goes searching for Ray Johnson and a sale on big German words. Plus a bookmark with its own straw. Finnish ingenuity at work. Carina, I'm just about to send you a big ol' thing which will gather dust in your studio forever. Thank you.

And thanks again to everyone. Here's a bonus pic of a landscape composed of a work by tic tac and a little tableau I made with things laying or lying or lieing around the house.

What a collection!  That's for the blog.  I wonder what other disaster we could send you?  I know, an empty Jack Daniels bottle.

Nancy, you're doing the lord's work, preserving orphan technologies so aliens can understand our primitive culture.

No, they're hard like fossils now.

Thanks, Nancy. Are your floppies still floppy?

Great blogjam, Dave...Inspiring work from the others. I sent you a fattish envelope Yesterday. The fonts package knocked my sox off! TY! LOVE fonts! Jury still out, with no working player in the house. But there will be soon and I'll let you know. Our "system" is pitiful, almost Stone Age.

Katerina, that little guy is half an inch tall. Not sure whether he's a peep or not.

Is that a little "Peep" running by the house and TicTac's art?

This Peep guy wants to know...
