I forgot to mention in my comment that I really like the postage stamp you used on the laminated card. I was surprised that the stamp was still affixed to the card when it arrived because the stamp slid off easily when I touched it, as if there was no glue whatsoever. :-)

Hi Petrolpetal---I was intrigued by the stamp on the mail that you sent. It looked like a falcon, a bird that I particularly admire. I have seen them locally in the nature park where I walk.  I researched the stamp online and was surprised to find that the Taita was as endangered as our US falcons. The breeding center that is repopulating our falcons is about 30 miles from here. No need to send the stamps except on mail to me. Thanks for offering.

Glad it arrived, the one before that must have entered a black hole to worm hole!

Hi Petrolpetal...thanks so much for the mail art that arrived this week. The wonderful imagery seems to evoke a a jungle or verdant landscape. I was very impressed with the stamp which features the South African Taita Falcon (an endangered species). We also have endangered peregrine falcons in the USA. So it was enlightening to read about your endangered Taita Falcon which is a victim of pesticides, as are our peregrine falcon and other birds. We now have 250 pairs of peregrine falcons, up from only 2. They have been bred in captivity locally over the past 40+ years, and then released. San Jose, California, a neighboring city, has a pair that nests on the City Hall building. Each spring the nest is observed by means of a web cam. I've been an avid watcher of the Falcon Cam, as it is called. The city's school children enter a contest to name the birds.

Hi Petrolpetal, I received this great postcard in my mailbox today.  I posted pics in my gallery.  I experimented with orientation and chose this one as it seems to reveal the face of a woman wearing earrings and lipstick.  I love this art, thank you! I will mail you something soon. :) :)

I went by the rubber stamp store. . . they no longer carry carving erasers. You can try on line or maybe ask Eraser Heed. Sorry Rick

Essentially,

most of what you see there is related to my activity in Paris between 1985 - 1999

(or there abouts).

As I no longer do Activations

and have not since about 1995,

there is nothing to add.

There are unpublished pages that need cleaning up on my To Do List, however.

It seems that I am more active in present and do not dwell on the past which is what that blog is mostly about.
