Five more collage Vinyls.

The first is called 'Unknown French World War 1 Soldiers'.

I don't know who these soldiers are. The ones bottom left and centre might be of the same soldier. If so, that's quite remarkable, because I acquired the cards at different times and in different places. Does the large card indicate that he died?

The second is called 'Spanish Artiste'.

I have no idea who the Senorita is, but she looks very formidable. These signed and numbered postcards date from 1903.

The third is entitled 'Four Very English Young Ladies'.

These are personalised studio postcards (circa 1920-30) of the type of English young ladies that you don't see any more, alas. Debuttants, perhaps?

Personalised studio postcards were probably the equivalent of Farcebook or something equally daft.

Number 4 is called 'Sweet Memories'.

'Doux souvenirs' -- sort of French Valentine's Day postcards from the early 1900s

And last of all, we have 'Four French Girls'.

These are studio portrait cards from the early 1900s. The girl top left is wearing her Communion dress.

Thank you, Darwin. I hadn't realised that the Seine School of Creation favoured Hamburg.

What does the School have to say about other ways of cooking eggs -- boiled, poached, coddled, scrambled, etc?

I think Erni came first.  Before there were chickens.

Vinyl Val, sunny side up, asks:

'Which came first -- the chicken or the egg?'

Three more starting with:

"Les Compagnons", a collage of wood-cuts by Roger Grillon, from the novel "Les Compagnons de la Houte", by Maurice Constantin-Weber

Next is "Dingley", a collage of wood-cuts by Ch. J. Hallo, from the novel "Dingley: L'Ilustré Ecrivain", by  Jean and Jérome Tharaud:

And last is "Whistle", a collage from pre WW 11 cigarette cards:

Three more, starting with:

"Sigmund Feud and his Diamond Ear-Ring"

(It is not widely known that Sigmund wore a diamond ear-ring (his mother wouldn't let him have one when he was young...nor when he was middle-aged and still living at home), but here he is with one...and with his friends getting ready to go out for a wild night in Vienna.

The second one is called:

"Comic Cuts"

A collage of comics fto France, the UK, Norway, Sweden, Holland and Belgium...And the last one, James, is called:

"Diamonds are for....Marilyn":

Points?! Whatever next? You'll be wanting to Blog my stuff soon.

What sort of deal have you got going with Amy on my Vinyl? Do I get a piece of the action?

Who was in the Who? The same bloke who was in The The.

My daughter saw Elvis live for the tenth time this week.

Elvis...Costello.

The other one (Elvis, not Costello) lives at Peyriac sur Mer, next door to Janis and across the road from Jim M

Nope, I'll give this one a pass.  Do you want it Amy?

Maybe we should give them points from 1 to 10 and the highest points giver gets it in the end.

Also this would give Val an idea of which ones to put in the show and which ones ... what was I saying?

OH yes, I like the title.  Wasn't Sid the lead singer of the Who?

Comment by Valentine Mark Herman on October 24, 2014 at 2:35pm

This one is called "Sid's Vicious Circle":

Glad it got to you, Katerina, and that it recovered from the voyage.

Do Blog it (I hope the other side is prettier!
