This is a place to explore all things trashpo (Trash Poetry)and found objects. Trashpo is 1) economical 2) environmentally responsible and 3) challenging. It's a great way to repurpose all the trash that our planet is buried in!

"If trashpo has taught me anything its that every windblown street corner and cyclone fence is a veritable Dick Blick of free art materials."
Ya'll I haven't done any mail art lately as I just can seem to find the creativity for it. I've been in a long derth. But I do collect some odd bits of paper that I enjoy. I am an educational consultant and visit schools. Here's a great news sheet I…Continue

Not that kind of junk and not thse kinds of drawers... Hey, we all have them. I have several. They are veritable trasher troves of useless and useful-but-forgotten stuff. Papers, letters from lost lovers, dried up fountain pens, church attendance…Continue

DKult was originated by DeVillo Sloan-- a Kult comprised of my 'fans' ---DKulters. He was the only one at the time and possibly even now. But It has evolved into a friendly neighborhood Kult devoted to the worship of trash and the creation of…Continue

Dan, a great show!
as Peele would say
noooiiiiccee!!!
For those who may have not yet seen this, here is a link to installation pix from the "This is Just Mail Art" show, which came down this past Sunday. So much wonderful trashpo in this exhibit. Thanks to all trashpoets who participated!
Granted, "vacation" is becoming a DKult code word.
If you look into it, you will find many Kulters have experienced some form of head trauma.
New DKULTNY promotion: "DKult is the new Scientology"
I've blogged the results of Diane's TOXIS paranoia. As a result, I'm thinking Kulter abduction stories might make a good feature in the next DKULTNY fanzine.
If you have had any sort of Trashpo abduction or believe you have repressed memories of such an event, I hope you can send some indication of it to me. I am always glad to use things people send me for the fanzine as well.

Hi Martita! your digital trashpoem is incredible! i've never seen anything like that. the green chair...i was into this pretty hideous color scheme about 10 years ago--kind of a chartreuse green and peachish pink. i thought it looked vintagey. so we found this green 70s that kind of flocked material from a thrift store. we innocently went on our business but noticed for no reason we were just at each other's throats! called an intuitive friend of ours in CA who has never actually been to our house and she asked, "Do you by chance have a green chair?" I said yes and she said, "Well, it has some really nasty energy from the previous owner. You might want to get it out of your house." so with relief we concluded we were being attacked by the chair and once we got rid of it things were fine. ghost stories at xmas? definately not just at Halloween. Id say xmas in the states at least is ghastly so no ghosts stories needed just watch the news for how many people get trampled from Olympic shopping
Diane, were you haunted by a chair or was the chair itself haunted? Like when you sat on it you felt you were sitting on somebody's knees? Please, please tell us. I cannot sleep thinking of the possibilities.
Idea for Christmas card, a ghost story about it. I do not know if you tell ghost stories for Christmas in the States but here is traditional, now plays in TV.
