Hi Robin, thanks for the welcome. Winter hasn't really arrived this year and the south of the country has been badly flooded. Where I live I see the odd deer but not many; I'm waiting for March to come that will bring the hares out into the fields.

I sent you the Darlington FC collage twice! I did warn you that this could be boring. I could send it a 3rd time if you like -- upside down perhaps? That might make it more interesting

Or a picture of the clock above the covered market instead...

Earthling, this is the last but certainly not the least welcome message to IUOMA you receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. When you joined IUOMA on July 17 I was unable to welcome you on board.  At the time I was in a celestial journey far beyond the Milky Way. Now, back to planet Earth, I´d love to be the other end when you decide it’s the right time to start trading snail mail art. If this is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

The Celestial Scribe

Terrene Embassy

The Celestial Republik van Patland

Caixa Postal 24827

Curitiba-PR

80510-970

Brazil

II look forward to see a piece of yours in our terrene mailbox. I will do my homework after receiving yours. This is a celestial promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland official envelope provider.

To Robin in Darlington,

I was born and bred in Darlington, Co Durham, England, and lived there until I went to University. My parents had a home there until my mother died last year, so my connection with darlington lasted 65 odd years; It had, has, and for ever will have, one of the worst football/soccer teams ever. Bruce Springsteen sang of a Darlington County, and I think his was in NY or NJ. Kate Bush sang about 'Alice in the back strets of Darlington'.There's a Darlington in NSW, Australia, and I think I once went through one in Ontario.

Sorry to bore you with this,

Val from Darlington once-upon-a-time but now in Sigean, France

Welcome to IUOMA, Robin,

It's a great bunch of folks and I hope that you enjoy exchanging Mail Art with us. I'm your Mentor, and if I can help to ease you into IUOMA in any way, then please don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to explain what's going on and how IUOMA works.

If you haven't already done so, I suggest you take a look at the 'New to IOUMA' page (4th from the left at the top of the IUOMA home page) where you'll find a 10-point Introductory Guide that should give you an insight as to what is going on.

Would you like to exchange some Mail Art with me? If so, send me something to me: 2422 Floyd Ave, Richmond, VA 23220, USA,  and I PROMISE to send you something back.

Hoping you enjoy your IUOMA days.

Here is a Health & Safety Warning: IUOMA and Mail Art can be seriously addictive.

Proceed at your own risk!

Regards, Mim
