A nice little card from Amy to say thank you for the London group card we sent her.

Thank you Amy, but I will have to disqualify this mail art piece.  I don't think we really say the "B" word.

But is surely made me smile.

Well now that we've sorted that, & Amy out, Dean you can go and smoke a cigarette now -- or, as we used to say, "go and have a fag"

I'm sure that Amy has turned bright red with your explanation Val.  No I don't think they say that either on the other side of the pond.  Anyway, not without out getting their mouth washed out with soap from their Moms.

My first 'grown up' bike was a 'Hercules New Yorker'.

I'll be bu****ed if I get you ouit of this mess, Dean.

So back to William.

He was known answer the phone at football's HQ by saying "Sweet FA here";

I wonder if that has the same meaning at the other side of the pond?

Ah yes, Hercules, he's Greek.  Now I get the "B" connection.  I can see that Val wasn't any help with getting me out of this tight situation.  Come on Val, tell them the score.

Cannondale once marketed a children's trailer that could be attached to the end of an adult's bike as a 'Baby Bugger' -- but not with that product name in Europe.
Then there is William Sweet -- the name of the one time Press Officer of the English Football (soccer) Association.....

But that's friendly Hercules...the marble man,

he wouldn't hurt a fly !

(but he could kill a lion or a multi-headed dragon,

wrestle a golden-horn stag or wild boar...:-)

Fun bike-card from Amy...nice map fragments, too!

haha...glad you smiled...it's likened to "crap" and I was using it to note the distress one must feel when the tires goes and you are in a hurry....also, there always seems to be big, angry, marble man with a club blocking the way for success....

at least it made it safe, naked in the mail....thank you for posting...
