I was born and bred in Darlington, Co. Durham, where my mother still lives -- it's a long way from Epsom. Since Darlington, I have lived in Colchester (4 years, plus another 5 years later), Ottawa (1 year), Denmark (3/4 year), Holland (24 years in Rotterdam and Maastricht) and have been in the south of France (Sigean -- between Perpignan and Narbonne) since 2001.
