Hello everyone, I'm new here and looking forward to taking part in mail art swaps.

But.. I was thinking I would really like to do a friendship journal swap with one person. Instead of writing letters like a normal penpal we both start a journal and send them back and forth to each other sticking in pics, letters, art work, anything you like really until we both end up with a full journal each to look back on and a new friend too :)

Anyone interested

Hey I love the sound of this! I'd love to get involved :) I think writing a journal extract and sending them back and fourth using eachother to vent to is quite an interesting idea. It kind of gives your journal it's own personality :)
Can I help you out with this then? Cheers! Speak soon.

That's great, should we both start one so we each then get a completed one back or just do one? I really don't mind.

I think we should each start one so we get a complete one back. I was thinking we could buy like a journal each, and start working on the pages about what were doing and good memories and even when were feeling sad or really happy write in a page. Then send a few pages at a time to each other of our journals so say we do this fortnightly, so every two weeks we send each other the pages we've written so we get to build the journal ourselves keeping them maybe in folder or buying a book to represent them all in. What do you think of that idea? Just let me know if you don't like it by the way I don't mind doing anything :)

Oh I see, so instead of sending the journal back and forth we just send each other the letters or whatever we choose then stick them in our own journals?

Sorry I don't think I'm explaining it very well haha what I mean is write a journal and we send each other the pages from it, so its like a book we keep getting some of it and we get to keep it in a journal so we will be building up each others journals. Sorry if I'm complicating things I totally do not mind sending the journal back and fourth between us haha.

Lol I'm getting confused. So were you saying we both have a journal that we keep at home and just send each other pages to stick in until we get a full journal of each others letters and stuff? I'm sorry bet I sound right thick now lol
You don't! I just explained fit wrong I.think.haha yeah that's basically what I mean :) what do you think? Just.it would save on postage and that means we both get a completed journal which is nice :)
Yay I think I get it now. Let's do it. Are we sticking to a particular size or does it not matter . When shall we send first pages? I think this is a great way of storing our letters we send each other instead of just been sat on a envelope on the side. I love drawing etc so would you be ok with things like that too
Also when she will send first lot?
I think any size and we can keep it in a journalised no matter what I love making big art so just go with anything! No boundaries! I love watercolour paintings and drawing alot so expect alot of arty random stuff haha :) I also do photography and Polaroid photos so expect loads of random Art.forms! I will send first lot end of next week? How about we either fo.it weekly or every two weeks? What do you think?
