Hi Mim,
I want to thank you for the lovely "Romance Promenade" post card featuring Benini (AKA Ben, Benjamin, Jammer, Large Banjamin, The Boy, and a few others I can't recall at the moment) lounging on his favorite rock in the garden. As I expect you already know, Benini died on memorial day. We miss him terribly. Your post card will hang in a place of honor in our home.

Thank you!

Hey, Mim! Glad to know it arrived! Was it damaged at all? No one else who has received these has posted or reported, so I have no clue as to their state upon arrival. We all know that it's a gamble, sending any mail art, but stuff with holes... I wasn't sure. LoL!

Mim--The Eco-dying and Eco-printing techniques produce some beautiful images. I'd be remiss if I did not tell you about the innovator. The person who made it most well-know is India Flint of Australia. If you have the time to browse her web site and blog prepare to be amazed. She has a book about the techniques as well available through Blurb. She teaches workshops in US and Canada.

Mim--I  recently learned to make leaf prints using an eco-dyeing process.  If you go to my blog and scroll down I have an image that demonstrates how the top and backside of the leaves (flowers, & other organic materials) print differently. You can view more examples in my Mail Art Sent 2014 Album. The prints are very unique and a reminder of our role as stewards of the planet.

Mim, got your letter and the treats in the secret envelope.  Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions and point me in the right direction.  More to come via the post.

Hi Mim--received your comment. There is minimal scraping and the card is now up on my 'Galleria Refrigeratoria'. I use the Inktense pencils a lot for sketching and really like the effects. The colors can ask be layered/combined. I'm sure you will enjoy exploring the possibilities. FYI: the Postal system added a barcode in a fluorescent orange to the card--but it does not show up on the scanned image that I posted. It adds a subtle mark.
