Too late for the bike photo! Unbelievable, our (private now) Post Office has stopped the use of bikes by the posties because of safety regulations. They must have sold them as they have done with everything else.

Kevin uses a bike and so do all the other postpersons around here. He leaves it at the entrance to our road, I will try to go and take a photo.

Greece has issued a postal bike stamp...though I have never seen a Greek postman on a bike, however there may be in many villages still:

Thank you for posting, Val!
Very nice to see you at Postal work (except for York, but great picture indeed, too!). Until today I didn't know you're a French Postperson (I mean, a Postperson in France)!

Being a Postperson must be great (when the weather is fine, if not then it might be better to be a Post-creating Person).

Heleen van Veen has asked me to post these photos of me as the local person. I hope you like them/

Number 1, was taken in York, England, two summers ago when I persuaded a postman to lend me his bike for a photo shoot:

:

Number 2 was taken outside the Post Office in Sigean, France (the village where I live). The local post person (guess who?) is wearing a vintage posty's hat:

I now leave the Group. Thak yhou for your attention, Happy Mail Arting. Val

Is this page francophone or multilingual? I like mixing tongues! A bit of English would not be amiss though.
