SHAKESPEARE 450 Invitation to participation in mail-art project

Subject: SHAKESPEARE 450: LIFE AND CREATIVE WORK

Project description. International mail-art project is devoted to the 450th birthday anniversary of William Shakespeare, the English poet and playwright. Exhibitions will be held in the Siberian and European parts of Russian in 2014. All works will be publicised on the blog. Documentation of participation including certificates, a catalogue and a participant list will be sent to all participants after the exhibition in pdf format. Printed documentation will be available depending on the sponsors. All participants will receive links to online documentation and exhibition archive. Participation: Free. Everyone is welcome to take part in the project. Technique: free (photography, painting, drawing, etching, collage, mail art boxes, artistamps, rubber stamps, mixed techniques, 3D objects etc). No organic materials, such as food, plants, etc. Size: Free On the back of the work, please write: the title of your work, your full name, country, postal address, e-mail. No jury, No fee, No sale, No return Deadline: the works are to be received by May 1, 2014. The Sziveri János Institute of the Faculty of Modern Philology and Social Sciences at the University of Pannonia

 organises an international mail art exhibition on the occasion of its “Transylvanian Days” (28 March – 5 April 2014) in Veszprém, Hungary.

We kindly request you to contribute to the success of the exhibition with your artwork(s).



The topic is “1914”.



The place of exhibition: Művészetek Háza (’House of Arts’) (10 Vár Str., 8200 Veszprém, Hungary). Opening: 31 March 2014, 16.00.



We display every artwork which arrives in the form of a small postcard, and can be connected to the topic. Deadline for the arrival of the artworks: 15 March 2014.



The artworks are going to get to the collection of Sziveri János Institute; and they are going to be on view on the website of the institute.

The sender’s name, postal and e-mail addresses should be on the postcard.



Curators of the exhibition: Ottó Fenyvesi, János Géczi, Susanna Lakner, Eszter Láng, László Torma (Cauli)
