This has been my most time-consuming piece to date. It's done in filet crochet, a method that allows for gridded designs similar to Hardanger embroidery.

This is going to a library colleague in another part of the state. The front image is of the international symbol for libraries. The back is a pattern design, with text and photo relating to famous librarian S. R. Ranganathan peeking out from behind. Address blocks and title are paper pieces hand-stitched through the crochet and the backing paper.
